I worked for Walgreens for 5 years and it was awesome! I was a department manager and took care of 60% of the store. My manager was the best manager I had had in my years of working in retail. You will find a great company to work for!

You work long hours. You may get a 30-minute lunch break but not always. You may get to use the restroom but you wouldn't want to because the Walgreens bathrooms are filthy. Everyone will yell at you. They have no idea of their insurance requirements. They think everything should be 15 minutes or less. Management will not back you up on anything. You will always have to do more with less. Good luck.

Walgreens was a great place to work. If not for my health, I would be still there. The pay was great once you achieved full-time status. The people working there was great as well, along with the administrative staff.
Speak directly with store director at all locations where you are willing to travel. Be willing to be flexible with work schedule and customer service driven. Hope this helps.
