So was really excited after being unemployed for 4 months to be able to get a full time job doing something I enjoy, merchandising. I was interviewed, hired and had all my on-boarding done in less than 24 hrs. on a Thurs. and was scheduled to start work 4 days later on a Mon. Unfortunately, my dream job turned into a nightmare. Communication became an issue almost immediately and never got better, training was nonexistent (I was never even shown how to report my hrs worked) and without going into too much detail cause it wold take too long way too much was thrown at me without any context or explanation of how they manage things and where to get resources needed to do my job. Well after 3 miserable days I had to give up and quit, I have never worked anywhere less than 3 yrs unless I moved out of the area,. so just want to give everyone a heads up that I believe this is a great opportunity make sure you get clarification on every aspect including training on their company tablet, payroll, reimbursement for travel & mileage, etc. before you jump in the deep end and are left to feel like you are drowning.
I received a phone call today I'm returning to work on June 14th at IAC
I got this in my email and read it and it was very encouraging... lately I have been going through a hard time but things are slowly looking up, I got a job starting next Thursday but I have no money for gas to get back and forth to work, I need steel toe shoes and I have no food... I got the job but I still have to wait a whole week after I start to get paid...if anyone can donate anything please do at $jLW2333 thanks and much appreciated #food #work #help #someoneinneed #thanks
White hot job market is what's happening out there. I quit a job last Thursday, got a better one today. If you can't find a decent job, you're not looking. It's an employees market, you can negotiate and ask for all kinds of stuff you might not have been able to 2 or 3 years ago.
Just want to say a Big THANK YOU to everyone who commented on my previous posts, of ideas of different jobs/companies, because as of now, I’m about to start on a new job opportunity. I’ve already gotten 2 phone calls & an interview, the interview was last week and it was really good. I’ll soon be starting in a few weeks, working in a hospital in food service.
So again to Everyone, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
