Is Remote Work Dying A Fast Death?

One significant effect of the Covid-19 pandemic was the drastic increase in remote working. The lockdowns, quarantines, and self-imposed isolation pushed companies to consider home working, accelerating a workplace experience that had struggled to gain popularity before the pandemic.

However, with the reopening of economies, the question remains: Is working from home a thing of the past? Read on and learn more about the future of remote work.

For me, I would just continue with working hard, take everything I learned as a supervisor with me, and do what needs to be done with the job.

December Second Orientation Replay

Its been about a month with the new company I am working for, with over 20 years in the field. Not all Home Care Company's are the same. I posted about the Orientation Day. A few people seem to perceive that post as negative. Let me finally clear this up. I don't drink coffee because of the Caffeine after effects that really get me very aggressive and way out of my emotional state. In some medical slang terms, it's called high strung. It affects me as bad as any Steroid medication. The Coffee that was made and given to me by my supervisor was well appreciated. I gulped it down in just a few gulps and then the Caffeine hit me. Abstinent behavior became my main sponsor during the orientation. In Lamons term, the warrior blood comes to the forefront and there is no flight, it's fight on site. So the next day after I had apologized to the HR Trainer and the entire staff, who were appreciative by my heartfelt apology, they have gone the extra miles to help me in any regards and I received a 65 cent an hour raise, benefits, retirement package and will not only defend the staff, but i Have and will go the extra miles for them. May God Bless You All, I hope this clears up your judgements of misconception... I am very grateful, blessed and happy to be fully employed again working for a wonderful company... #jobsearch #advice #interview #management

My advice to people interested in working at #Arby's ...

They hired me then fired me within a week because they didn't have "hours". Why the heck are you hiring if you don't have time. I honestly think they fired me because I have a disability. The management does nothing but eat pastries all day. And the cooks and people who make food be eating fries out the basket so unsanitary. Then they lie and tell you, you can't order a sandwich plain like how hard is that. I suffered discrimination wouldn't recommend to anyone specially if you are impaired #termination #management

Fired in a Group Text

According to an article in DailyDot, a store manager fired all of his employees via a group text which read, “Hey y’all so everybody fired I’m not gonna beat around the bush with y’all. So if [you’re] scheduled tonight or this week at all yeah we’re done the restaurant as a whole is done [redacted] grille is no longer a thing.”

Daily Dot did verify that this restaurant closed and was going to re-brand and open next year. However, it is unclear if these employees will get re-hired with the new establishment.

This was so unprofessional and insensitive to send a text like this to all the employees. Why are they fired and not laid-off? What has been the most unprofessional way you were let go?

Secure Leadership

2023 many will change job's, going on interviews. A lot of interacting will be with the Leadership person on duty. It's awesome to work with a Leader that's secure, respectful. A good Leader knows how to identify and develop leadership. The best leaders I have worked with in the past made me feel ✔️ appreciated✔️respected✔️encourage.

An insecure Leader Boss❌. Not sure how these leaders wind up in these leadership roles. I'm not qualified to diagnose or label the cause of insecurities in a person. What I do know for my self I will be in a no-win situation with an insecure Leader Boss, the toxic culture isn't worth another minute of my time. My health and emotional state of mind will be at stake if I stay working in an insecure environment. Real Talk. #management #jobsearch #advice #interview

Is this ok?.

My phone deleted some apps to update and one of them was the app my manager communicated through to us.. But when I downloaded the app again I had to reregister.. she called and texted me and said that I left the group chat and that was my form of resignation because I didn’t answer her phone call.. Are they even supposed to communicate with you when you’re not scheduled for that day ?. #advice #management

Would you prefer to work on new years eve or celebrate the new year with family and friends?

New years eve is one of the opportunities for people to celebrate in restaurants and bars. There are some drinking packages available to celebrate the final countdown. 🍷🍾👩🏽👨🏻‍🦱👩🏽

For most restaurant people, it is an opportunity to make good tips during new years eve. January is the slowest month in the Midwest. Some restaurant workers don’t mind working for one night. We all know that the entire rest of the month will be slow. ☃️🍕🥃🍷

In the past years, I worked only until 10 PM, and it was good because I had options to celebrate after serving people. I will work this year because I prefer making money rather than spending it. 🙋🏽‍♀️💸

What would you prefer to do? Would you work? Or celebrating with friends? Let us know with a comment.

I invite everyone to join our community Restaurant & Hospitality Superstars
