Hired out of desperation?
So my new boss tells me that because the person who is usually hired in my position is dually licensed that she has to figure out what they are going to do now. ( I am an AODA counselor with an Associates only, limiting me to counseling clients for addiction only and not mental health). This statement and many other passive aggressive comments and microaggressions are causing me to feel as if she is regretting hiring me and only did so because she was swimming in work and couldn't find anyone else to fill the position. Seriously feeling unappreciated, anxious, depressed and not wanting to go back to work on Monday. #management #advice #wrongfit #unappreciated

Regarding tips????
I reside in Texas and I worked at a fast food restaurant texas burger/subway for 6 months and the manager had tip jars out for the customers to leave tips, she never asked for anyone to sign a paper saying that we wanted her to distribute the tips at the end of the year at the Christmas party, long story short I never received my portion of the tips and she would get upset if anyone took their tips home!! She kept them in her office in the safe but never kept a log or record of how much tips was being accounted for every night!!! Whom do I contact regarding this??? I have contacted corporate but no reply yet!! But is there anyone else I need to contact regarding this!! #management #texasburger #foodservices #carterenterprises #subway #management #advice

Apparently overqualified in the US
I've been legally able to work in the US for 6 months now. Cannot get a job, let alone an interview. I've got job agents working with me, applying to 10 - 20 jobs daily and feel like I'm treading water. Longest I've been unemployed before moving here was 12 minutes. Came here to be with my wife after the borders in Australia closed during COVID and have been struggling ever since.
I have a multiple site management, operations director, marketing and business development background. Worked for global corporations, lead teams of 200+ employees and management complicated multimillion dollar budgets - both marketing and operational profit and loss.
And I cannot even get an interview for a management job at a Taco Bell in the US. I keep telling my agent, whoever picks me up is going to get a very good deal. Seriously need to find something soon.

I'm getting older now kids...
At 62 years old, the past couple of years has been more than a Walmart "Character Builder". I have a new job after 14 years with the last one. I traded in my custom Chevy Sonic for a Ford Escape SUV that my carport collapsed on last Thursday night due to 3 winter storms back to back that left us with 3 feet of snow that my bully dog Cleo loves! Anyway as a Jesus Christ follower, somewhat because I easily can get "upset" over things and fall out, so to speak, I do realize the Good Lord gives you just enough that he thinks you can handle. I say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Well I must still be one tough SOB even at 62 years old. May God Bless All Creation and don't forget to say your prayers and darn it, try and be kind to others... #advice #management #jobsearch

My ex employer isn't wanting to get their equipment returned, what do I do?
So I lost my job on 11-22-22, work from home, equipment provided type of position. I have contacted them several times to send out the box or return label to pick it up. I don't want to get in trouble for this, what do I do? #advice #management
Sorry to hear that. That is so unfair. I wonder if there is even an account for much tips were received. How did you guys know that you received the right amount. I feel that something shady has happened. I'm glad you contacted HR. This should be documented and hopefully they will get back to you.
