I so agree with this statement! I remember a time when someone was trying to give me advice to better myself. I was so focus on how was I going to pay bills that the advice went over my head. Looking back on it I was not ready to hear the advice.

A word to Myself

Getting through the overwhelming feelings can be difficult. Here's the thing though either you accept your situation or you change it. It all starts with FOCUS.

Just tell yourself I can get through this, I am valuable, I have a lot to offer...now get busy. #getbusy #focus #value #feelings #accept #assignment #angry

SIMPLY OFF THE CUFF w/Edward! (Do things that make sense.) [IBYC]

KNOW WHEN IT'S TIME, TO MAKE A CHANGE:

I went to a building I did not design, work with people I did not know, managed projects I did not like, then, put in 10-12 hours of work that didn't support my dream. At the end of the month I scraped underneath my car seats to find some coins to purchase a box of cereal. That's when I realized it was time to change.

Today, people on a global scale are inundated with seen and unseen episodes in their lives, especially trying to climb the corporate ladder in America. Sometimes, we're almost to the top, then, someone pulls the red carpet from underneath our feet.

5 - UNDENIABLE TIPS TO REALIGN YOUR PERSPECTIVE: (1) What are you really trying to do in life? (2) When do you really expect results in life? (3) Where are you really going in life? (4) Why is this really important for you in life? (5) Who is really supporting your dream in life?

Always make time for YOURSELF and "do things that make sense." Know when it's time, to make a change.

I Believe You Can...!

Just woke from a sad dream that I keep having literally every night for over a month. First thing I did after catching my breath was turned on my phone and saw this post. I let all my dreams fall to the side raising my kids and now am completely lost in life at 50yrs old. Your words really hit home. Thank you.

Edward, As usual, I love reading for inspiring thoughts and motivational posts. It reminds me that sometimes we need to be satisfied with what we have in life if we are already there, however, once we get there it is not as we at all expected or hoped it would be. Thanks Edward TJY

What's the easiest way to stay focused?

Hi Monty! Focus I think is a very personal thing. For some, it's tapping their foot or fingers, for others it's coffee. For me, it's making a list of my goals to make sure I focus on them and actually accomplish what I need to. Focus is a struggle for many people. The Proper Frame

I heard a speaker over the weekend talk about how our perspective changes our frame of mind. For instance when you look at the picture below, are you focused on the bright sun and blue sky or are you looking at the clouds creeping in? Our mindset is the same way, we choose to find the positive in things or we look at all that is going wrong. I am choosing to find the positive. #inspired #positive #thinking #mindset #sunny #clouds #blue #focus

Hi Diane Christensen - thanks for sharing this positive thinking thought exercise with the community. I focused on the blue in the sky, and how it gets lighter as it gets closer to the sun.

Ok this isn't a pity party!

Need a job? Great now do your home work. A good job placement takes effort . Polish that resume, post on reputable sites that will work in your skill set and give you options. Looking for work is a selling exersize in selling yourself. With a poor or dismal marketing plan, your not going to get calls. Presentation and multiple postings on different web sites and good ol fasion Foot work is what it will take. Get off your duff and do the work and you will earn the PRIVILEGE to work. It's not a right! You have to earn it !

Great speech if it only worked. With automated filtering programs on job application sites, how do you sell yourself? Have to get that interview to sell the product. Get me in a chair in front of an HR rep or Manager, and I got the job. 3 Months of an average of 10-30 applications a day, and the only interview so far was door to door sales on a 100% commission based job. It's easy to sit back from where you are and judge others whom you don't know what they're doing or going through. I get the intent of the post, but when you slam people, even passively, you show your true intent of the post and it makes you look more like an attacker. Polish up those motivational speeches man, still need some work.
