I worked at the Rochester City School District for 30 years as a Custodian Engineer. I am 81 years old. I retired in 1992. My last position was at East High School.

I am seeking a position similar to Cleaning Supervisor. #jobsearch #management #application

I need to reach out to my previous employer and explain that my unemployment insurance claim was denied because they put my termination as misconduct and now I have no revenue stream, but more importantly for me to get a job moving forward.

I need to ask her if she can help me get that corrected . My "misconduct' wasn't about me stealing from the company or being under the influence while on the job or anything criminal. It's more like not meeting their (IMHO unrealistic) expectations. I lacked experience when I was hired, made lots of mistakes and learned amd gained lot during my 6 months working, however I was expected to perform like someone who has had 10 years of experience. I performed as best as I could without jeopardizing my patients safety, and losing my license I'm in healthcare. WeWe also depart on good terms. I have nothing but respect for them and told them I appreciated the chances I was given. We also joked, so no hard feelings on my part and I hope on their part too cos we give hugs. Need help on how can I send her an email to request for the above correction to be done. The lack of income and what's going on in this country really affected my husband who is a disabled retired veteran with severe PTSD and depression. I also have a 4 year old and rent and bills to pay. I am actively seeking employment and going for interviews. # #interview #management #advice #termination #jobsearch #unemployment #appeal

Should I post online about my employer?

The place I have worked at for the last year and a half has done a lot of questionable things but, when I spoke out about it to HR they ignored everything and had a District Manager do a "proper investigation." Which wasn't done at all. After that complaint they began to target me by limiting who I was allowed to work with, nit picking my work specifically, and attempting to cut my hours to force me to quit. I didn't want to speak up about it anymore due to the retaliation but I'm quitting and I no longer have to worry about that. Since HR completely ignored me should I post everything online and let the public know about it? The original complaint was ranging from sexual harassment, sexual assault, improper food handling, and a lot more stuff that continued to increase the more I complained and looked into it. #advice #management

Should I quit my Job?

The managers where i work are super disrespectful, customers are (but thats expected and i can deal with that) I work part time and im in HS, and I also only make $8 dollars an hour. I have been working there for over a year now and haven't gotten a raise. Ive applied to over 100 places online/in person and none have gotten back to me and i have no idea why. #advice #jobsearch #management

All I can say is that if you continue to be disrespected, you have to set those boundaries. Try and be patient a little longer and find yourself a positive environment that will help you grow as an individual! Good luck, and I'm sorry people aren't more respectful

I'm pretty sure my job is trying to force me to quit.

I've been employed for over 5 years. It has always been a toxic environment, but now my number is up! Trouble started when my manager found out my wage. (Goofy set up - the owner sets wages but isn't involved) I was demoted and I've been getting falsified write-ups and there's no way to fight them. #jobsearch #advice #management
