Was let go at Magna and wasn’t ever told y

I was at work on 3rd shift on the 21 of January. It was slow and my line was not running at all. I have mental disabilities so I was staying to myself while I waited for the team to start back or not then I was approached by a man well dressed that told me he didn’t like what I was wearing and I said I’m sorry but I am very poor and I have kids that need my help. He then said that I need to put my glasses on and that he thought my boots where not correct. I told him I would try get some more after I get paid And he said no and pointed to the door and told me to leave the building immediately. I didn’t drive so I had to walk 13 miles home at 2 am in the rain and cold. Well the next night I’m bout to go to work and I call about the boots situation and I was told that I can’t come back to work and since then I have been shorted on my pay and I am 8 hours short on a previous check that I was told that they was sorry but nothing can b done about it. Can someone please help my situation cause I’m homeless now and have no car or money. I was almost feeling normal when the plant supervisor made fun of me and made me leave and walk home #advice #management #termination

Is this a bad time of year to be hired for a quality job?

I have been fervently applying since mid November 2022. I have an AA, an LCDCI, 5000 hours of Clinical Case Manager experience, but still haven’t found anything. #advice #jobsearch #management

I completely understand & agree with all my credentials & level of hands amassed expertise it has been a very challenging process to say the least!!! This has been a 24/7 pursuit. Companies say they desire quality candidates, comparative advantage, and a can do will do attitude however my experience for over 6months has been quite the opposite in terms of skills complimenting responsibilities & organizational expectations.

I have been getting bogus & offshored talent scouts that are severely under qualified to bare the title of recruiting manager/talent acquisition manager, etc. but here they are under assessing qualified -perhaps overqualified candidates just to save the company money and handing off a position to someone who is unqualified but they stay way under budget, so the company praises them for that, all the while overlooking retention, culture, community, morale, internal growth, longevity, succession, etc. unfortunately, the old tried & true work employee/employer relationship paradigm has long drifted and sadly transformed into nickel & dime/bait & switch concepts.

The end results is worse than the initial negligence. I do hope, that there is still a glimmer of hope where, organizations realize the long term impact this will have on an organizations health/stability. Moreover, organizations should choose to focus on the quality of talent to be most productive and profitable.

Please don’t allow our PHD/MBA professionals to ever be found working a ridiculously insulting job -well beneath there capabilities versus really enriching the potential quality our experts bring to the table and give back, making the organization and collaborative success.

Clinical Research As A Phlebotomist at Great Falls Clinic

I recently applied for a supervisory role with a company with not much experience in that role but made it through the general manager interview and asked to take online supervisory assessments. I literally had no idea that supervisor role was like babysitting a bunch of incorrigible toddlers. The scenarios given where really about how to babysit adults who do not play well with one another. In addition the scheduling was a bit flummoxing, hard to keep 8 peoples separate shifts straight (so maybe it's also a perception skill) and then finally a delegation of tasks assessment- I noticed in the examples given two people out of 10 in the scenario where given double the tasks to accomplish and failed as a general rule to accomplish everything even Thow did much more than some who were given half as many tasks to do but accomplished all but 2 of them. The question read who you would be more likely to assign a new task to that is of high priority and has a near deadline; I chose the fellow who mostly completes everything. Problem with the whole test is they never show you the results...bummer My advice if you're going to go to work for Sam's club in the capacity of manager, take the manager in training opportunity do not try to learn on the job from supervisor and attempt to work your way up because you will never get it right and will be overlooked for promotions by someone coming from an unrelated field and going straight into the manager in training program.

How well does Viscofan treat its employees?

Depends on who you ask. Some would say they're treated well, but that's because they are Hispanic or Latino. Others might say they are treated terribly and Viscofan corporate folks do not care about them at all and want to make their life and job difficult. I would not recommend anyone work there. #aboutmyjob #management #termination #advice #jobsearch

Why do they only treat Hispanic and Latino employees well? In my opinion that statement says it all.

Being fired by a supervisor!

I worked at habitat for humanity/RESTORE. I was fired by a supervisor, which at restore falls under a store manager. This woman has no idea how to perform her job. RESTORE that I worked at have no true concern in helping people, the job only cares about making money. The supervisor in this store managed to have 3 ppl fired in 8 months. customers cannot tolerate her mood swings, and rudeness I spent 3 days a week apologizing to customers on her behalf, bc she was rude to them.after she fired me, I received a letter stating I resigned. I did not resign, she fired me, then harnessed me right out to my car, then continuesly threatened me through text messages. Threatened my personal life. #management #termination

My employer won't let me quit

He says he will give me a bad recommendation to future employers that I quit without sufficient notice if I don't hang around until 2 weeks after getting a replacement trained in. Only after a new person is fully trained can I give my two weeks notice. And then I can leave. The job is a garbage position with low pay and no benefits. He probably won't find a replacement quickly. I was so naive to go for the title. Now I'm stuck. I start my new job on Thursday and work weekends here. I think I'm going to have to make a choice. #management #advice

Have this happen to any of yall?

My men been having issues with the company he was working for because they are horrible with the pay on time they always do something dumb. On Christmas he was supposed to get christmas pay and if he goes to the other location that is 2 hours away he can pick up the week, he never got paid for holiday and the company shut down for the whole christmas week so he submited a complaint to the department of labor because they never said anything about the company being closed but they never got back to him. So the next week came and he kept going to work as normal, last friday on january 21, He had an issue with his son and told one of his "managers" that he was leaving. This is the same person he put on the report everything was okay until 5-6 the same day he receive a call from HR saying not to come back to work until they know what is going on ( He was confused because what He did for not to be able to go back), He go on monday (today) to talk to the boss and aparently He was terminated even tho I notify the manager and me was recorded on camera talking to him. The boss told him it doesn't matter you on camera because I don't know what you telling him but the person that is the manager said he didn't told him nothing. But what gets me is the manager and the HR person that call him are both on the claim with the department of labor so he contact a lawyer and was told by the lawyer that it doesn't matter if you are the best employee by being a contract employee the job have the right to terminate you any time and for no reason the same way you can walk out of your job at any time for no reason. Is super crazy to me because if it is like that then what is we doing? Are we making the rich more rich and diying for nothing? Does life even worth working because this don't feel right and the crazy part is is not the first time he gets hired with a contract and just get terminated and unable to do anything. #termination #management #jobsearch #advice #intervi #interview #remote #workfromhome

So to sum it up he works at two different locations. But since he was working at location 2 he did not collect holiday pay from location 1 and he did not check when the holiday hours were for that office. Judging that it was not in his paypacket I will assume that this was an under the table bonus and not an official one that would show up in his paycheck. If it was to be in his paycheck then he should have contacted the payroll rep for the office citing a mispayment. And he should have been doing this at least 2 time per week until it is resolved. Did he record himself asking & getting confirmation for his leaving early for a family emergency from his manager? Did he call whomever sets his schedule to notify them that there was an emergency and he needed to take a few hours? What is the company polcy for leaving early for emergencies? If his holiday bonus is legal and he did not receive it He needs to get the reason in WRITTING as to why. He also needs to have location 2 give him written & dated information on his working AT THAT LOCATION during the time the bonus was passed out. He also should ask other employees if & when & how they received theirs. He should go to the labor board and talk with them and also with unemployment. If he violated the contract he might be SOL, but he might be able to at least get his bonus pay.

THESE JOBS DO NOT CARE ABOUT US EMPLOYEES

Too many jobs fire employees on the day to day basis for bull$h!t. Some will even take it to the extend and lie to the temp agencies saying we quit just to get denied for unemployment! Majority of these employers that they have under the management teams including district managers, owners, co-owners, clerks, and supervisors only care about those set salaries. The problem is, is when those under management have the upper hand.. They abuse it and use that power to bully and harass people out of there jobs until they completely walk out or the employer is just wrongfully firing loyal employees in general. Missing out on good employees who could have potentially grown to be intentionally successful with the companies. Instead we get treated like disposable robots 🤖. #management #fired #bullied #lies
