In the past 2 weeks, I have interviewed with Conduent. I wasn't impressed with the first position's offer (customer care assistant for CVS) but was contacted about the work from home in-bound position. Well after three interviews, I was offered and accepted the position of Tier 1 Support for Apple!! I get to work remotely from home, full benefits, paid training. Praise God!
I am sharing a link for remote positions but they have so many available across the world in various industries!! Of course if it states United States then it's likely available in any state and remotely. Should you have additional questions etc, feel free to contact me! I'll help you the best that I can! Keep striving y'all...it has been a long time coming but doors are finally opening! Be ready to walk on in when they do!! God Bless!! #WorkFromHome #RemoteWorker https://conduent.taleo.net/careersection/conduent_external_portal/jobsearch.ftl
I just wanted to everyone know that Pret a Manger is always hiring I start on Tuesday . The recruitment office is located on 11 w 42nd street. I applied and a week later i was hired you get full benfits , paid time off and bonuses with 50 percent off meal discount . I say give it try .... Good luck all.
I applied with a company that works with special needs people. About two weeks went by and I never heard anything so I continued to look. I was called for an interview and the hiring manager liked me so well at the end of the interview he said I'm ready to send your stuff to HR for the background check. I got a call from him yesterday and I go to orientation this Thursday. I'm super excited.
Finished my week of training and starting in my new job. I worked for 10 years in the medical field as an ultrasound tech but lost my job when we were bought by a larger company. About the same time, my elderly grandparents needed full time care, so I did that while they provided for me. After they both passed, and then needing a new roof on the house, money was getting tight and I started applying. It seemed no one was interested. I even tried employment agencies. I reworked my resume and got a call from a senior living facility. I had applied for dining room staff with my new resume, even though that wasn't one of my stronger skills. I like working with seniors so I figured it's a good "foot in the door" opportunity. I was asked to interview that same day, and when I met with HR, they offered me a caregiver position. I had mentioned that I had taken care of my grandparents for 5 years. That made a good impression. I took the job. It's not full time but it is what I needed.
The moral of this is maybe not to leave things out of your resume. Something you have done in your life might be a beneficial skill employers are looking for.
Ive had a rough job history and since ive actually been trying to keep myself straight and do whats right and grow up...its been fairly difficult for me to find some one willing to give me a chance ....its taken me 10 months ...but it finally happend! Big Thanks to Bobby...my new Mgr!
Good day everyone, since I last communicated with some I was at a point where I was at a frustrating time because I couldn't find any stable employment and was ready to throw in the towel. Ten months out of work with only one interview that went south after a three hour wait. With all of your thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement, I am thrilled to share with you all that I have accepted a position with a private EMS company. For those who are still searching, keep pushing and keep praying until something.
Last week, I celebrated my third year anniversary with my current employer. It is hard to believe that prior to that I was unceremoniously let go from a company that was simply not a good fit, though I put in almost two years there before it became mutually obvious that I was not a fit.
My world was rocked, even though I saw the writing on the wall. Until then, I had never been fired from a job before. It was a humiliating experience to know that this employer didn't find value in the work I was performing. It was work I had done for years and in which I excelled.
I immediately updated my resume and started applying. The entire time I was employed, I had recruiters and companies coming out of the woodwork to offer me a job. Now that I needed them, the well dried up. To make matters worse, it was the End of October and I knew almost no company was going to be hiring until after the holidays.
I did odd jobs, paid bills on credit, worked the gig economy, and relied on unemployment to get by. But it was a slog! Money was drying up and things were starting to look bleak.
I had been using the big forums like Indeed to apply to no avail. Someone recommended Jobcase and I begrudgingly signed up. That is when I knew I had stumbled onto something special. It was more than just a job board. It was a community with helpful voices, people in the same boat with whom I could commiserate, and then there were the staff who were so welcoming and helpful during the hardest time of my life (at that moment).
I was out of work for several months but I finally landed a job. I worked there for about two months when I realized it was not too dissimilar to the place from which I was fired. I was also not doing what I was told I would be doing.
I was contacted by a recruiter for my current employer and went through a whirlwind interview process and was offered a job after my 2nd interview. I took my concern to Jobcase, wondering if it is in poor taste to jump ship so soon after starting. I was told to weigh the pros and cons, and to not worry about putting the company in a bad spot; because companies do not extend that same courtesy to the employees.
I bit the bullet and took the new job and now I have been there three years.
I have been a part of this Jobcase community for almost 4 years now and I am still so thrilled to have discovered such an awesome site. It is truly what you make of it, and there are people here who want the best for you and to help you on your journey if you let them.
Thank you Jobcase staff and fellow members of the forum!
