What are 3 actions I can take to clean up my online identity?

I’m not sure what employers do to look into my online activity so I want to make sure I have all my bases covered and avoid embarrassment.

Pause to think strategy?

Have you been working toward a goal in your worklife but it keeps eluding you? I think one of the toughest calls to make is deciding whether "patience is the better part of valor" and sticking to a plan, or to "cut bait" and switch strategies admitting that current path isn't working. Different circumstances lead to different answers. But ..... In my experience, pausing to consider the question is always a good thing!

Unions. What do u think?

Check out this chart. When I was a kid in Toledo, unions were a big deal. This chart shows how they have weakened a lot. What r your thoughts about them?

Ticket to Work

I am writing an article about the Ticket To Work Self-Suficiency Incentive for a local newletter and I would like to post it here, in this forum when it is completed. I recently completed a class entitled Social Policy Anaylsis and Used the TTWI program as my focus. The next publication for the newsletter will be early fall around August or September. Of course you may review it before I submit here if neccessary. Thank you,

I graduated high school and dont know what to do next

I’m not sure if I should go to the community college I’ve been considering or just start working right away. I know a degree can be really good but I also really need money because my family can’t support me. Is it worth going to school? What should I do for money? I’ve thought about working part time but I’m afraid it wont be enough.

Character is what is being said about you when you are not in the room. Build your character first to succeed, not only in your career, but in anything you do. Jobcasers, let's do this.

Hey Alicia, Easiest thing to do is to just say "please add me to your DoNotCall list, thank you and goodbye". The rep on the other end is legally obligated to put you on a "DNC" list - but just be aware some companies might take up to 24 hours for that to reset their system technically from this request. Also - be careful on any job board you visit to avoid the opt-in boxes for education -- lots of times you are being called because you requested it.

Hope this helps, Fred

Hi Alicia, This is a common question. We don't want to miss a job opportunity by not answering the phone however, while on the phone you can let the representative that you are not looking to further your education at this time and would only like to hear about potential job offers. If the call is not something that you find helpful, you have every right to request your phone number be added to the Do Not Call ( DNC) List and your email be unsubscribed. I believe there is a website where you can add your number to a DNC list for all un-wanted calls.
