Looking for employment is one thing, but getting employment with the right wage is another. Though we all desire a good wage that can be sufficient and balance the cost of living- it is still a work in progress with those in control of the wheel. But in the mean time lets learn something new about wages from an employer and who has the lowest wages.

People also ask:

What are the factors determining wages?

The factors influencing the determination of wage rates are as follows:

  1. Ability to Pay
  2. Demand and Supply
  3. Prevailing Market Rates
  4. Cost of Living
  5. Bargaining of Trade Unions
  6. ... The labor market conditions or demand and supply forces to operate at the national and local levels and determine the wage rates.

With knowing a little about the way wages are set up will also help you understand more of where the company is financially but still inquiring about increase of wages if the task asked for a position seems to be a merger of two or more positions into one.

Some managers in positions try to get blood from a turnip by low wages with big demands for employees. Not a good look for the brand reputation. Its good to ask in the interview about the wage allotted for the position not what the manager is offering. Hire ups already been approved but todays people for some reason take pleasure in cutting heads on people earning a decent wage. I don't get it.

For those that are considering relocating; inquire about the state minimum wage and cost of living.

What states have no minimum wage? Idaho Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky New Hampshire North Carolina North Dakota Oklahoma Pennsylvania

Who has lowest Min wage in USA? These five states have no state minimum wage:

Alabama Louisiana Mississippi South Carolina Tennessee

12 minimum. And servers in restaurants shouldn't have to claim their tips! There is hwy robbery going on in these restaurants paying servers like 3 dollars an hour + tips they have to claim. Ask your server what their wage is. You'll be shocked. IHOP does this!

My area is economically a low man on the totem pole. Meaning we have about 10 to 15 percent unemployment most of the time. Regardless if the economy is doing well or not. What that means for me is I can't get a decent job that would allow me to save up to move to a better work area. Where there are jobs. What jobs there are here where I live are mostly low wage retail work. So that leaves me trapped in a area I loath to death and have no way out. People in my area say I should like the low wage job I have. Basically discouraging the idea of better work, or I should like a job I am bored out of my mind with. So fed up with it all. . . . . . . #lowwage #minimumwage #KitsapCounty #KItsap #highunemployment #jobs #Fedup #tired #unemployment #Washington #WA #WashingtonState #PNW #fulltime #fulltimeemployment #wornout #lifesucks

I wish I knew what it was like to make more then minimum wage. All I get is low wage work. People wonder why I hate having Autism. Why I loath all the debt I got into in college. It never ends. All jobs I apply for unless its a low wage job with no other applicants. I never get the position. It matters not what the job is. Or people want me to work for free.

I just have a question about minimum wage. I havent worked since our new minimum wage was set, but I'm wondering if employers are allowed to pay under minimum wage, if you're not receiving any tips or compensation? The thing that confuses me is there's a federal, state & city/ county minimum wage & I've noticed that even though our minimum wage is $12 an hour, some stores only pay between $8.50- $11 an hour, even retailers like Family Dollar. Is that legal, especially if they don't give you breaks or any benefits?

Despite my skills and education and talents. The only jobs I ever get or get offered it low wage minimum wage work. I am fed up with it. Tired of it. They all seem to be looking for personality archetypes over anything else here in the Puget Sound area. Like are you an extrovert or do you fit someone who has a high emotinal intelligence.

Only jobs I seem to be able to get is part time minimum wage work. Does not seem to matter what my skills are or my education or past successes. Its been that way my entire working like. I can't seem to get anything better. People around me act like I have never worked a day in my life. That the current job is my first job. Low wage work then long periods of unemployment. So tired of it.
