What do you think the national minimum wage should be? Why?

$10.00/hr. Minimum pay for minimum responsibility. There is no such thing as a "living wage." Educate yourself. No school can teach "ambition."

$0.00, from the libertarian approach it would drive down the cost of everything. People would be free to make employment choices purely based on performance and qualifications. Having a minimum wage only creates higher prices for everything. That is unless the govt. subsidizes everything in which case you are still paying more because it’s your tax dollars that are paying for it. In the end, we all pay no matter how much control we give to the govt. I choose freedom.

Has to be more than the cost of living. We do more than just exist to work! How much is the Pursuit of Happiness? We know the cost of living varies,taxes are different and of course lifestyles. A standard minimum will benefit some and leave others behind. Maybe a percentage over the living wage would be more fair. Good question Elyssa, your friend,Ford

That was one of the subjects introduced during the election. Did you vote in favor of higher minimum wage?

Match with the cost of living

12 minimum. And servers in restaurants shouldn't have to claim their tips! There is hwy robbery going on in these restaurants paying servers like 3 dollars an hour + tips they have to claim. Ask your server what their wage is. You'll be shocked. IHOP does this!

15.00 dollars an hour

$ 20.00

$ 20.00
I think it should be the cost of living or higher. It is the way it is because there is less profit for big business if they pay more. They trick us into competing for jobs at low pay, and when they hire us we are so greatful to have a job, that we bend over backwards to show then how good we are. This gets you more responsibility while there. What you don't notice is that the pay stays the same. That's usually when someone will say "I love my job".
