A tip off - Enterprise.
A friend of mine works for Enterprise Rent A Car as a driver. He has told me they are always looking for part time drivers. Once you are in you could get higher paying positions. He also told me its great for people who want to supplement their income. For example he told me many of the drivers he works with are old retired navy guys who are looking for some extra money to supplement their pensions. Just an option for you folks.

So hard getting job with Autism
Its so bloody hard. If you are high functioning. Employers expect you to be ether an engineer or programmer. If you are not in the technical fields similar to those. People see you as a liability or view you as a fake. When so many jobs base their hiring on personalty and emotinal intelligence. It gets even harder.

What is your opinion of general job fairs?
I am talking about job fairs that are not a dedicated event for just one employee. Like you some times see Hotels for example who will have a job fair to fill their potions.
I am talking about the ones that general job fairs. Do you think they are effective to get work? Do you think they are better for one kind of person over another? Do you think it is better to do the online form of job searching?

Recruiters/Headhunters/Temp agencies.
How many of you have had my issue?
Every once in a while I get an e-mail from one of these types. Its annoying because its never for jobs I am qualified for. Like in my case its allays engineering jobs. Even tho none of my resumes or job sites show I know anything of the sort, or have the education in any type of engineering.
I kind of wish they would get their act together. Do a better job of searching out candidates. Instead of filling up my inbox with jobs I can't do.

A newcomer tip
You need to post more then a title. I am seeing a lot of people posting in the title. I need a job or something similar. Its hard for people here to help you if that is all you are saying. It is a given that most here are looking for some kind of work. Then maybe one line in the body saying Hi or something of that nature.
Be more descriptive. Like I am looking for work in this industry. Then in the body of the message. Describe what issues you are having. Why you want to work in that kind of job. Ask questions on how to get job A vs job B. etc.
Hard to help when there is no information to go by.

A Peace of advise for young people.
One area I would encourage young people who are still in high school or just graduated. Find yourself an internship dedicated to high schoolers or recent grads. It will give you experience and give you an opportunity to discover if you want a job in that chosen industry or not before you plop down a lot of time and money in education.
It does work. I have a good friend. She got a internship at a navy shipyard who does maintenance for most of the ships in the US fleet on the west coast while she was still in high school. She discovered she had the knack for electrical work. After high school she then applied to the apprentice program for this shipyard. Thanks to her internship. It give her a leg up in the hiring process.
Even now these many years later. She is still working for the yard. Now for a major contractor for the shipyard. Still loving her job, and what she is doing.
There are many opportunities like this if you nose around. Both in the public and private sectors. It may lead to a job out of high school or at the very least point you in the right direction. Or even get yourself a good mentor you can guide you in your professional development.
I myself wished I had gone this direction.
Good luck!

I am at my wits end.
What do you do when the only jobs in your area are retail and they won't touch you with a 10 foot pole because you are not an extrovert? Its getting frustrating. Only jobs are the retail jobs and thats it. I don't have an option to move to a different area with other job options. They ether don't hire me because I don't fit their personality test or they look at my education level and say you are to educated or we view you as a threat to our jobs as managers just based on education. That includes the food service end of retail.
Who cares my degrees are worthless degrees, the bottom fell out on the animation world, unless you have major industry experience when you graduate college and no one has that. Employers see MBAs as wasted degree now. As it does not prove you know a thing in their eyes.
People tell me to start a business, but that is not an option. No money and even if I did. My counties business regulations make it extremely hard and expensive to start one. (They wonder why they have 10+ percent unemployment rate here)
I am at my wits end.

Looking for jobs that travel
I am looking for a job that allows me to see new things. Can't think of any that I would fit. Like Flight attendant I would not fit for example. Any ideas??
