Another Interview and more BS
I had a great phone interview today with a very nice recruiter for a job that paid A LOT less than I was making. I told her I’m not concerned about the pay. I’m looking for a job that I can apply my knowledge and skills to. I even asked her, what about my resume prompted you to interview me. She said it was extremely well written (it ought to be. I’ve revised it 1,000 times!), and it showed that I can do projects from start to finish. She said she has a meeting on Tuesday with the hiring manager and she would tell him how great my resume is and that we had a good talk. I could expect to hear from her on Wednesday. I logged onto my dashboard tonight and saw that my status had changed to Interviewed:Not selected. WTH!
I think it depends on the employers. Some employers only spend 6 seconds to browse a resume so the video resumes might not work. But if it's more creative job that they want to see your other skillsets... maybe.
