Defunct IDES and lack of state services for veterans.

I gave up trying to get thru to Illinois unemployment benefits. I moved to Illinois @ end of March for a new job from DFW, Texas. Which, due to covid, dematerialized on my start date of 30 march. If it wasn't for my military retirement income my wife and I would be on the streets. Ya know, atleast in Texas they actively took care of veterans. I wouldn't have a problem getting to an unemployment services rep or any other state service. Here in Illinois it is a crap shoot you even get a call back. #covid #veterans #coronavirus #foodservices #government

I would apply for the pandemic unemployment not the regular one. If you have reduced hours they will help. Just apply and choose the debit card method

Speed limiters

My rant is speed limiters or governed trucks ,I know it all about saving fuel and $ on insurance ,but I feel that we're the professional driver doing this for a living ,why do they need to regulate our speed when they don't regulate a driver of a motorvehicle that has little to no experience literally ,like a teenager can get into a vehicle and drive any speed they want ,I don't see any benefit to having speed limiters on commercial vehicles other than to regulate the profits of the company owners because 1) it saves on overall fuel mpg 2) it limits the amount of miles that they have to pay per day &most of us are paid by the mile ,so they get away from paying overtime &holiday pay ,personally I believe it causes fatigue &stress ,also inattentive driving because the drivers just set and forget it

Getting paid Coronavirus Money - UPDATED INFO!

The IRS has published how it plans to pay you #coronavirus 'economic impact' money if you're eligible:

• You will get paid economic impact money by direct deposit if you have filed 2019 (or 2018) taxes and provided the IRS your bank account info

• If you have filed your 2019 (or 2018) tax return, but the IRS does NOT have your bank account info, go to the IRS: Get My Payment to update your information

• If you are not typically required to file a tax return (low income, veterans, disability, etc.) go to the IRS: Non-filers enter payment info here so you can get paid!

This money is vital for so many of us - so I'll do my best to share updates as I hear about them.
