A FAST FOOD JOINT

Pays better than a health care job. Does that make any sense?

Makes perfect sense, but it also depends on the position your looking for. You might want to look into the high end restaurants or you can apply to hotel jobs

Age discrimination

I'm 56 years old, years of work experience and a college degree, it doesn't seem to matter, I get paid the lowest amount of money.

No matter the experience if you are older but still viable and want to work, you will be denied!

Teenage Jobcaser? Know the laws to protect yourself!

Would love to hear from Jobcasers across the country if they feel their employers are not following the rules?

One restaurant chain just paid out more than $2M for child labor violations in MA because 16 and 17 year olds were working past midnight or more than 48 hours in a week. The violations were caused in part by supervisors and young employees not being aware of the law. Below is a great site to check out for your local laws - https://www.youthrules.gov/law-library/state-laws/index.htm

Anyone have a story to share? Love to understand how frequently this happens?

Wow! That's quite the fine. I'm all for young people getting work experience, but it is hard to imagine how high schoolers could be performing well in school while working 48+ hours a week and being kept up past midnight.

2. Enter a job into the search field where it says Job Title, Keywords, or Company.

3. Add in your location by filling in your City and State OR zip code. Then click the magnifying glass to search.

Irritating

I’ve been working my current job since September 2017 getting 36 hrs a week and have 3 kids with wife being disabled but not getting disability benefits. My job started shorting 20.00 a week on paychecks and I sent them emails every week about being short so last month decided to cut my hrs to 14 hrs a week cause I complain about my checks being short .. What to do?

If u feel u have been unfairly treated, u can definitely go to the labor board or better business bureau, that is pretty drastic, after that length of time in a job, finding another should be simple

The job site I was working call and canceled all temps that called in that day. And I have still yet to be paid. For the day I did work. I want to know is this legal. To lay me off since I did call in both times with the issues I stated? #unemployment

Hi Jay, are you still looking for your paycheck? If Yes, you should file a claim with the department of Labor - Wage and Hour Division, see https://www.dol.gov

Pay sucks

I wouldn't get out of bed for 10 he these companies need to catch up with the times every thing is going up but lot of companies still being tight asses a person needs at least 15 dollars a hour that should be minimum wage for adults anyway

Depends on the employee and if there's a progression process available for qualified employees at the company.
