I have been looking for a honest job for almost a year and I have still not found one. I have a resume and a cover letter. I even have my drivers license. I know not having a car can be a little bit of a problem but what am I doing wrong.I have a baby I have to be a super hero for and I can't be if I can't even get a job
So I'm 17 and I've been using my bike to get from school to work and then home again. I'm a little concerned, though, now that it's starting to get cold and it's probably gonna snow, im not gonna be able to ride it. I'm not really sure how I'll get to and from work now. Any ideas?
When it rains, it pours, but I would appreciate feedback because I'm worried that I'm going to be let go from my new position. Let me explain:
My teenage son was scheduled for oral surgery (wisdom teeth extraction) this morning at 9 AM (Tuesday). I made arrangements with my manager that I would work remotely today. Last night, my car (our only car) suddenly broke down on the way home. Suddenly we had no transportation and we had to be at the dental office. No cancellation.
So, while we had the car towed to our house, we had to use Uber to get to the dental office. Cheaper than a taxi and a good experience. We got home around noon, put woozy son to bed, got the car towed to the dealership, got a rental car and came home. All the while, I am working as much as I can from my laptop.
Tomorrow (Wednesday), my wife absolutely has to be at a medical appointment in another town. Our son is sleeping away, looking like a chipmunk with swollen cheeks. I thought about taking the bus into work at the butt-crack of dawn and having my wife drive the rental to her appointment. BUT....she's not familiar with the new car and I just know that by taking the bus home, I will never make it in time to return the rental car and pick up my repaired car. It's just not going to happen.
So I emailed my manager and wrote that I have to work remotely again tomorrow. I sent him an email earlier saying that that might be a possibility but I would keep him updated. I haven't heard back from him. I'm worried that he'll think I'm too unreliable or something. But when you're a one car household and the car suffers a major issue (it's a $1000 repair), things happen.

I'm so fustrated! I still can't find a job. I've been looking for jobs since last year and I've applied so many jobs (I have no idea how many I've lost count). I had a job interview couple weeks ago,but didn't got the job so I'm still looking. I'm unemployed and applying and still looking for jobs. I really need one, more difficult part is I don't have a car for transportation. Anyway, I live in Clarksville TN, just moved here last here. Anybody that knows opening jobs are hiring or a company Hiring or side jobs or work at home jobs in my area please inform me or message me through here. I'll appreciate it. Thank you!

I currently work in Dallas, sleep in my car 5 days a week. I go home every Friday at 4:00pm. I live in Galveston county. I need a job that is closer to my house. Right now I would be willing to take a pay cut just to be able to be home every night. Is there anything available that somebody can help me with?
I was recommended to the job i’m at now by an acquaintance (friend of a friend). Would it be wrong to take this new job offer which is half the commute, pays effectively the same, and has much better hours? I asked the new company to give me till the end of the week to think about it. Any advice is appreciated!
