It depends on the situation and why a pay cut would be necessary. Let's keep the pay the same or more and work from home. There is no need for a pay cut.

Raised on retail, former entertainment assistant, seeking new opportunities

The biggest misconception about remote work is that remote workers do not work as hard as a in-office workers. The fact is that a good worker works as well from home than from their office.

The grass is not always greener. In the long term, it may be more worthwhile to stick with a good reliable job to show reliability on your resume.

And YES DAMNIT ITS OK TO CRY, but not I don't of your boss, right then you need to take what ever criticism they are throwing at you, smile say thanks for the input, turn around and run to the nearest bathroom, your car and cry there. Crying is not a sign of weakness, it means your human

Personally, unless desperate, I wouldn't even apply for a job I was unsure about. Whatever the reason, matter's not. Professionalism is key which requires communication, honesty, etc. however, everyone is different & I guess maybe some folks need to step out of their comfort zone.

I worked at Dunham's DC shipping department, loading semi-trailers.

Must have great communication, understanding, and respect for the worker's in order to keep supporting all worker's. If you don't have that, than you will not have any open communication, and everyone just do the work to receive a paycheck. That is all it means to them.

Yes, I have taken a career break namely to take care of my parents. I think it may have hindered me from finding a full time job. But at least for me, my family comes first.
