If you could give one piece of advice to your past self at the start of your career, what would it be?

I should have started my own phlebotomy business when I had the opportunity.

Stay in school get educated as much as possible

Once a beautiful vision become clear to you hold it close, warning common to face skepticism from those around you, especially from loved ones who might not understand your vision. Their intentions might even be protective, but my best advice “stay true to your path”.

Bring out the best version of yourself. All confidence on the table, and learn in advance how you can help the company with their challenges. Know and unknown.

Always be sure to plan for the future. Study the investments you make and don't be afraid to Seek out better ones. Time spent early on can truly change the quality of your retirement.

Listen to what your parents say, because it's gunna happen to us also!

Don’t stay at a job for longer than five years. I stayed in retail for 10 years then I got a job in the corporate world. There were so many things that I missed by working at one job for so long that it hindered me and made things more difficult than it needed to be I knew nothing of Microsoft suite I knew nothing of teams And that it was just the start if I could give myself the best advice I could back in my career when I started I would’ve taken the advice from someone I met and what they told me was you’re either up or Out in five years that does not mean a cost of living increase. That means a whole new position Higher than what you are now in the company that you’re in or you’re out in five ..

Be a team player and always work for advancement. Show your best side and use your job to bring out the best side of you.

I was a kid then but confidence in yourself helps you to believe in yourself
Confidence in yourself can open many many doors. My parents always taught me ...."work hard, be on time, have good work ethic, be reliable , have integrity, don't miss work". At the last job I had, I had 59 days paid time off. They DID NOT pay me for any of those days when I left!!!! Take days off when needed. You are replaceable. Take care of yourself.
