Yes, I have taken a career break namely to take care of my parents. I think it may have hindered me from finding a full time job. But at least for me, my family comes first.

On my resume, I briefly mentioned it as a "Professional Development Break" and highlighted the relevant courses and certifications I completed. In interviews, I framed it as a strategic pause that made me more focused and prepared for my next role.

Yes........I took a health break to manage an illness for which I had no obvious symptoms. And it is only because healthcare has given back to me what I have given of myself without regret for so many years that I am able to resume my place in my career for which I have true passion.

I'm currently on a break now from a job where I was working 6 days a week as a contract driver for the post office. Right now I'm weighing out options according to which way the economy is going, but I am never afraid of taking on a new challenges. I have pretty much experienced many trades in my 40 or more years in the labor & construction work force. My resume will speak for itself as far as experience goes the last job I held as a contract driver was for over 4 years.
