What I loved about working at #Lyft/Uber was

I don’t enjoy it like I use to. Use to be great money with Lyft but they cut their own throats in my area when they stopped working with Logisticare and dropping scheduled rides. If Lyft looked two years ago what drivers in my area make compared to now they would realize . They need to look at how many drivers were driving in our region then compared to now. Lyft doesn’t care about anything but lining their pockets and are not concerned about the drivers. I don’t drive hardly any compared to what I was when I first started. My time driving will soon come to an end cause what we get paid isn’t worth it any more

Lyft is making it easier to get your vaccine!

Lyft is making it easier for people without cars to get vaccinated against COVID-19, and will help fund rides for people who need them, the rideshare company announced Tuesday.

Users can now **schedule a ride for themselves or others to vaccination sites through the Lyft app. **

Funded rides will be facilitated through non-profit partners including United Way Worldwide, the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging, the NAACP, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the National Down Syndrome Society. These organizations will help identify people who need rides, such as low-income communities and seniors.

As part of its Vaccine Access program, Lyft is also partnering with with Hilton and Delta Air Lines to incentivize Hilton Honors, Delta SkyMiles and Chase Ultimate Rewards members to "Fund a Ride" for people who need a lift to go get inoculated.

Uber offers FREE rides to vaccination sites

Need a ride to get a vaccine? Uber (and Lyft) have you covered!

Did you know that 45% of Americans do not have access to public transportation at this time?

In an effort to help those who wish to get vaccinated Uber said last week that it has partnered with retail pharmacy chain Walgreens to offer FREE transportation to its locations and offsite vaccination clinics in cities such as Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and more!

The initiative comes after Uber pledged in December to offer 10 million free or discounted rides to assure that “transportation is not a barrier to getting the [Covid-19] vaccine.”

Uber partners with a number of health systems, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage plans to move their 65+ members. These health care organizations can call, schedule, and pay for rides to vaccine appointments on behalf of their patients and those covered by government health programs, adding that riders do not need an app or a smartphone.

No car? Rent one AND make $$$

If you are interested in becoming a driver for Lyft, but either don't want to use or car or don't currently have one...no problem!

Lyft's Express Drive Program allows you to rent a car and start earning right away!

Here are somethings to know:

  • Lyft deducts rental costs from your earnings so it's all in one place. No surprise charges!

  • There's no long-term commitment with Express Drive. Keep your rental for as long as you'd like and return anytime after your first seven days.

  • You must be at least 25 to reserve a rental.

Want to learn more? Check out more info here from Lyft.

Lyft and Uber to your COVID vaccination?

Looks like Lyft and Uber are proposing services to help get people vaccinated by using their rideshare services. If it means rideshare drivers get early access to the COVID vaccine, it kind of makes sense.
What do you think?
