Keeping Lyft drivers safe during COVID
Worried about COVID and driving for Lyft?
Good news! They have extra safety precautions put in place to keep you safe such as:
Requiring a health safety commitment before riders and drivers can use Lyft.
Requiring face coverings in all rides.
Offering health and safety education: COVID safety tutorial for drivers and a similar video for riders.
Reduced the number of riders allowed in a ride, so the front seat can always be kept empty.
Giving drivers the right to cancel without penalty, if the health safety commitment isn’t being followed

If you're wondering what it's like being an Uber or Lyft driver during the pandemic

Gave me ONE star because I had no hand sanitizer!!
I am a Lyft driver have always gotten 5 stars and now this lady comes along and asks where my hand sanitizer is. I tell her I am sorry I just had run out. My passengers have been using it like CRAZY because of the virus. So she gets real pissy about it and tells me I am not getting a tip and leaves me one star. Real nice.

She was sick and got in my car!!!
I drive for Lyft and I can't make money if I stay home, but I also can't refuse someone a ride who is sick!!
This fare got in and she looked and sounded real bad. Was I thinking it was Corona? No. I mean she could have it, but it would still suck if she had the flu and gave it to ME. I can't stay home. I CAN'T get sick! I need to pay child support to my ex or I am majorly screwed.
What the hell do I do next time? Kick them out?

Scared of Corona and got out of my car!!!!
I drive for Lyft and I have been SO busy! I feel like everyone is freaking out because everyone is so nervous with the virus. No one is taking the trains lately.
So I have really, really, really BAD allergies and I couldn't stop sneezing during one of my rides and my fare asked me to stop so she could get out. We still had about 15 minutes left on her trip. She said she didn't want to get sick and that I wasn't getting a tip!
What is wrong with everyone?!

I would recommend someone to work at #Uber\Lyft because
Uber and Lyft is a great way to earn a income if you have a good vehicle, the determination to work a steady schedule and you are a good driver! Although the expense is a little high it's still a good way to earn extra income. The majority of your riders are great and they will show you respect if yo u treat them well. Lyft will pay you bonuses just for completing rides and give you many discounts on car repairs and maintenance. This is invaluable!

What I loved working at #Lyft
Nothing. They deactivate people for jo reasins(based on passangers lies) and also dont make money anymore.STAY AWAY FROM LYFT.

What do you do until the job you want comes along? Lets talk and encourage others
Uber, Uber eats, Lyft, Roadie, Shipt, Instacart, worked 2/3 PT jobs, these are a few things I do until something more in my field of work happens, sometimes having some $ is better than none and it relieves the pressure to some degree and helps you not to be frustrated with the process.

Drama, drama, drama...
I have been working for Lyft for about two years now and have def seen enough to write a book about the weird stuff people say and do. Just last week I picked up a couple that were screaming at one another. They just got into my car as if I weren't even there and just kept on yelling. I would be so embarrassed but they didn't seem to care. Apparently the gentlemen had been out too late the night before and his (wife?) was less than happy about it. I eventually dropped them at the airport but about 7 times she demanded that I turn around and bring her back to her pickup location. Life is short people, be happy!

Uber vs Lyft
So I think I posted this a week or two ago but I'm between jobs and was thinking about Uber or Lyft. Does anyone know which would be the better company to work for? I'm still applying for other jobs in the meantime but was considering this as a gig position. Please let me know what you think; have been working fulltime til recently. Knew someone a few years ago that worked for Uber and I know that it's a 1099 position. Thank you in advance for your replies!
