A heady and tough week for many of us.

I learned of a friend having the worst time he can and a life he never expected. He's at risk. I'll help with a few others...I hope he helps himself. But I also found a childhood friend that has literally turned his life around. Best of friends in grade school , life had different paths for us. But there we were on a NYC street hugging each other. I'm so happy for that.

Thats the duality of life ... the things that live together. Positives and negatives... Yin and Yang... It can confuse and overwhelm trying to make sense of it all. Alot of thoughts I'm hearing on deserving or not deserving things, especially now. But I don't think deserve has anything to do with it, deserve says nothing. Deserve is silence...

Its action that tells the story , those words are loudest and mean most....

So Toby and I took Sunday to Recover, reflect, and reset (the 3 Rs) Especially After an emotionally charged Week, and Still living with things being "less than". We persist and DON'T give up...just like life huh?

So in honor of everything SEEMINGLY being sideways.. Here's "Team Toby" trying to figure out which way is up (again just like life... 😉

Brothers/Sisters , not just my Veterans but ALL of us (bc we're just the SAME) Little things, do small things... They'll add up. But don't give up , giving up is silence Take action. Go and Do.. Stay in it ... Lets go Get after it.

I have recently returned to the land of freedom from serving 13 yrs. While down I worked for the re-entry department, unit management, and suicide watch companion which is part of the psychology department. My new outlook on life is to dedicate my time to help others better themselves. In working that goal I am helping myself in my own growth. I'd like this chance at a new start on life to be worth the most. I would like to surround me myself with people of the my same mindset. #jobsearch #inspiration #motivation

You knwo in WH/ Distribution you aren't "pigoen holed" into a particular role Thats the beauty of this space. You can work for years in one facility and have significantly new experiences.

This helps when you aren't sure about your next steps. Wh and distribution operations offer a variety fo different roles each with its own challenges Exposure to the roles does two things

1. Keeps things "new"
2. Makes you more marketable as an employee : Jake of all trades right?

These two things are important because I think we need to have variety (I hear its the spice of life) and boredom begins to impact us in a variety of ways and I think we can all think of ways for ourselves. I know I can't be bored or I shouldn't be bored.. Makiing yourself marketable is really important I think. Maybe the most important longterm consideration ... Why should someone hire you?
Some people think because they're good and they "deserve" it. Guys Deserve has nothing to do with it I know alot of people that deserve alot of things but they dont get them.
And it breaks my heart... Make yourself well-rounded and be a "life long learner" be curious and learn new things ... The world is changing and theres a big gap growing between the Haves and the Have nots think about how you can prepare yourself in this next role to be appealing to employers and present the best verison of yourself

There's alot of change coming but also alot of opportunity for us Lets help each other get better Between all of us we probably have the answers each of us needs

So I just had a veteran message me. I don’t know him well but I know him perfectly well.

He’s distraught and feel like everything is too much.

I bet lot of us feel like that right?

But I tell him this and I share this. Because I get some comfort to think this way.

Look at yourself. And take stock of your life. Alll the difficulties nd impossibleness of it. You’re here reading this. You’ve beaten every “insurmountable” thing. Nothing has been too much it’s only felt that way until you overcame it

So I appreciate reaching out to something for sone strength. That’s well and good.

But …

Before you go Lookibg outside look to yourself. Bc you’re alive Undefeated against life. ( look at the numbers ).

So nothing you can see in YOUR OWN LIFE. Can logically lead to any other conclusion than you telling life ro:

“Go f&ck itself And just doing whatever it is you want.

You are your on motivation and inspiration.

Just look we don’t look enough. I know I didn’t but I am now. It’s all there. Take it

The ferris wheel is one of the most consistent and famous rides of all-times, in the family of amusement parks worldwide.

It takes you around in a same liked circular motion, thus, creating your same liked circular patterns of thinking.

Lessons Learned: If you want to pass your interview board, you have to change your mindset; stop thinking like others that are riding the ferris wheel. (It's not their fault.)

Get off the ferris wheel of life, and present yourself differently to the board members, so you can get hired.

Learn this technique and smile, then everything else will fall-in-place for you.

Do you have a personal mission statement ?

I have a life goal that I've come to realize recently after a few years of struggles (war related, life related ya know?) So I formed a personal mission statement it helps guide me a stay "true"

I want to give what I can when it is needed and take only what I need when its given.
And at the end I'll have made the things I've been a part of better in some way.

My father was a factory worker . he worked in this industry his whole life. I get it we all have these obligations and desires. Maybe a statement you make for yourself will help guide your next steps.

If you just want a job in order to care for others that is absolutely awesome. But don't feel like you HAVE to do anything. There is alot of opportunity out there, especially now - you're living in a unique and special time. Take advantage of it you know if this message resonates..
