Can not make it past background check.

I recently got a felony conviction for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and now I can't get past the background check process of finding a job. I have never been in trouble but this conviction has made life tough. My apartment would not renew my application when my lease was up also which resulted in me having to move my family back into my parents house. I'm 30 years old and have no way of supporting my family. I lost my job to cut back in August 2015 due to fall in oil and gas business and now I can't find a job. Since losing my job I have had only 3 face to face interviews and was told at each that I was just what they were looking for until I was asked to fill out paperwork. Once the issue comes up never hear from them again. I just want to work and provide for my family. I'm not a risk and I'm not hard to work with it get along with. If anyone can help me please send some info to me. I have been applying to everything under the sun with no luck. I am an AutoCAD Drafter with 7 years experience. I have an Associate's degree and have worked with CADWorx and PDMS in my past. Have worked mostly in the structural steel discipline but I am very adaptable and learn fast. Someone please just give me a shot. I live in the Cypress TX area but will travel around Houston, Katy, Sugarland, Baytown, Pasadena,Tomball, Humble, and maybe even further if opportunity is right. I'm very flexible just need someone to look past the record to the person. Any info will help and I am extremely appreciative to anyone who has any tips. Thank you and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.
