As a construction laborer for a general contractor or GC, you really do not need to provide any special skills. It's basically cleaning behind all of the other trades on site and dealing with garbage, special projects handed down by the super's which Manage specific trades during the project. Now if you are a skilled laborer which has experience in A specific skill such as, carpentry, electrician, plumbing, masonry, etc., then you would provide that skill as a skilled trade on your resume. The only problem with that is there are companies on site which are paid at a much higher rate to do the same thing that you might be asked to do, only because your GC knows that you know how to do it, but you are going to get a general contractor wage, which is way less than with the trades would receive if they are hired to do it.
