Here is a link for Rutland County folks, I know many of whom are impacted by the closure of Killington resort (from March 15-22, and we don't know about after that), for help and for those who are able to help. This includes everything from jobs, food, resources, and lending a helpful ear!

Discouraged

My area is rather remote and jobs clearly are few and far between. To top it off - I am truly surprised the companies that hire families and boyfriends and girlfriends. Many organizations that try to help feel I can travel across Lake Champlain with ease to work. There is a ferry and 90 minute drive 1 way to get to the bigger cities. I cannot accept a min wage job with ferry and gas expenses. Is anyone familiar with Burlington, VT area? I have a 4 yr degree in Business Management and Marketing. 18 plus years in clerical positions. I would love to go back to working for myself again but getting started again has been also discouraging. It's a lot of work and lots of hours and I was always the happest. I need it to pay my mortgage and insurances is what causes a lot of problems. Ideas, suggestions are appreciated.
