🚆🚗 How Long Are You Willing to Commute? 🚌 🚲

So, let’s say you have to commute to work. How much time are you willing to spend getting to and from work each day?

Growing up, my mother commuted about 1½ hours to and from work each day. With an 8 hour work day, she spent 11 hours a day in total out of the house. She worked in the city, we lived in the suburbs. With LA traffic, that’s rough, and I’m eternally grateful.

I set my limit to 1 hour. I don’t have dependents, and I have the luxury of flexibility in that regard. It's not a deal-breaker, per se... but it's a serious preference. It may sound finicky, but that’s where I’ve arrived at this point in my life.

So, fellow Jobcasers, what’s your commute like?

With that schedule, I may need the first day of each weekend to simply unwind! I also tend to enjoy my weeknights. Dipping deeper into my evenings would take too large a toll on my work-life balance.

Perhaps take a mental day off. But be careful. Some HR managers don't like it if you take off from work.

I love hanging with co-workers outside of the work place because it creates a bond and it gives you opportunity to see another side of them that you don't have access to in the work place , and I feel it makes the work atmosphere more pleasing and strengthens work ethics.

My termination

I was fired of false statements from staff that I had a disagreement with and they lied to get me fired I went to my management team and was told to just walk away when they was instigating and agitating me I was in tears bc of how the coworkers was to me they said I was saying racist and yelling at customers which was a lie I did call a co worker a stupid idiot because she was getting in my conversation, but we were on break #termination #stressful

Look at what made me stressed out and then look outside where it's peaceful and calm. Remember when I was onboard my carrier. Saw the calm of the ocean and peacefulness of the night sky. I also remember how rough it was when the ocean crashed over the flight deck. Then, I feel better now.
