#1..I was 18 years old when my boss told me if I want to make x amount at work, then I need to perform like I'm already making that amount. #2...no matter what I'm doing it's my job to make my boss look good to his boss.

When a job post says “fast-paced environment,” what does that mean to you? Deal-breaker or exciting?

Jennette, what company you talking about that pays for everyone and everything .Iowa is a state that you can be fired at the drop of a dime without any reason .The fact you said its a privilege to work for a company in high demand is fantasy .Better to be needed for your exp than feeling like its a privilege. You sound like you work for HR .To funny get back to reality.

The best advice I got was there are 3 rules to follow: 1- show up on time 2-keep your mouth shut 3-do what your told....... Then I was also told this: if you show up early your on time, if you show up on time your late, and if your late your fired

Put your best effort into any job you have, no matter what you're paid. Your work ethic reflects on you as a person in general and it will be noticed!!! I've advanced in everything I've ever done because of that way of thinking and I've preached it to my children as they became old enough to work

I have learned through many years being employed, that if you don't leave work at work, and home at home, it affects your entire life.

I wish all the managers could understand where is the best job to put people in, instead of just giving up & terminating them. They should be able find their strong characteristics & use them to their advantage. Everyone has something to offer.

Keep looking, they don't know what they might be missing. Some companies have hiring managers that are discriminating against people for their own reasons, age, looks, disabilities. Even though some of these are illegal but proving it is tough.
