certified nursing assistant

I have been a cna for over 20 years. And I am now wanting to do something else. I feel at age 57 there is nothing for me to do. This is the only work I know.

The biggest mistake I made as a #CNA at #Goodsamaratainsociety ...

Letting 8 call lights go off for 45 minutes because I'm in with one resident that takes at least 45 minutes to get up in the mornings. It's hard to prioritize when we just don't have the staff to care for our individuals the way they DESERVE!!!!!

Honestly?? I would tell them to find work elsewhere. Good Samaratain Society is NOT the place to work.

Also, another big mistake is staying at the society for as long as I have. I only stay because I ADORE the residents there, but I just can't handle all the damn stress anymore. We are under appreciated, under payed, under staffed to make it worthwhile anymore. I honestly don't see myself staying for very much longer!!!!
