Have you ever turned down a job offer? What made you say no?

The pay, primarily, asking too many qualifications for low pay

It was the pay, and I was upfront and honest with them during the interview, I told them that it sounded like a great place to work and the work sounded like something I was very interested in, but I couldn't afford to work there, I said something along the lines of "you are looking for someone that will stay a long time, and, If you gave me the job, It would only be a matter of time that I would have to leave because of the pay." If you take a job that you really cant afford, you will not have time to interview for a job that you can afford, because you need all the hours at the job that doesn't pay enough.

How do you stay motivated during a long job search?

when looking for a job, your job is too get a job, I know it cant be scary, I've been there, but you got to keep moving forward and looking, when your looking for a job, it shouldn't not be a secret. you should be telling everyone "I'm looking for a job", keep resumes in your car, just in case you need one, being out of work shouldn't be embarrassing, everyone has been there. when you get an interview, realize something, The interviewer knows based on your resume that you can do the job, because they don't have time to interview everyone that turned in a resume, your job in the interview is too show the interviewer who you are, show them you are easy to talk to, that you aren't going to be a bad employee, that you are the best person for the job, If you get nervous about interviews, just treat it like you meeting a new friend, I personally do my best to carry the conversation, I do most of the talking, and I do that because I love meeting people and also I don't want them to ask me a question that I cant answer correctly. Remember your just meeting a new friend and relax. very important, have a friend or family mock interview you, you will be surprised how well you interview when you practice. Good Luck.

I would also add that I assume I am not this employee's direct supervisor or in any way have authority from the company to reprimand a coworker, I would feel it necessary for management to address the issue based on company policy
