To look for another place to work, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE WHITE! The boss (Sal) told me to my face that he doesn't like WHITE PEOPLE.
Since I was a boy I knew that I will end up being a graphic designer, and a musician. As an adult I also stayed in my lane and became confident and got great experience in this field. It’s very important to be true to yourself and know our strengths and talents that way we can shine brighter and have more chances to be successful at life!
I do amazing graphic logos and trademarks for independent companies and I also know how work well with the video editing on Adobe premiere on video projects and montages. I'm willing to work full time or part time if possible.

Lost my job after 17 years, although there seems to be a lot of job openings in my field, I've not had an interview. I've been using Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress most of my career and know them better then most. In the last 6 months I've been taking Web Development courses, Dreamweaver and a really fun program called Captivate. Far from being a pro in them but I'm ready to build smaller web sites without the ecommerce part. Once I have a few sites built it won't be long and I will soar! Examples of my work can be seen at http://www.graphicdesires.net. Thanks!
I have a question, my name is Aaron McLeod, and I'm a college graduate with an Associate's Degree for Graphic Arts. I have been going out and sending out resumes to various companies whether if it's online or face to face, most of them throwing that word "experience" in my face like for example: "Do you have the experience to work at a sign shop, or the experience to install a sign," and ect. Now I may not have the experience on what they're looking for, but I do have the10+ years experience of freelancing as a Graphic Designer, and just because I've never worked at a sign shop in my entire life doesn't give them the right to hold that against me like that. My first job that I ever worked at for seventeen years since high school is McDonald's. I've done the follow up more than three times, and I was trying to get in contact with the people I suppose to talk to numerous times and I've been getting stuff like "It's being reviewed by the boss", or, I have left them a voicemail, but nothing happened. All I'm getting is promises but no one delivered.
Left the Ashburn region because truly creative graphic design jobs are too few and too far between so I took an opportunity to travel East to within spitting distance of Wash.D.C. and find the same old same old.Too many just graduating graphic art students of cut & paste jockey's crafting digital collages demonstrating mediocre talent cluttering what passes for creative graphic design. Is Wash.D.C. a creativity killer or what?
