What I loved about working at #Advanced Auto Parts was

Meeting a diverse of customers and providing them with an excellent visit and helping them find what they needed. Also driving and delivery of parts to the commercial customers.

I’m in the FL area Lee county looking for work. Great in the call center or office environment. Also I would be willing to work remotely for someone located anywhere any ideas ?

Seems like there's a handful of call center jobs in the Fort Myers area. Also, not sure if they're open to remote, but Chewy has a call center in Opa-Locka (other side of the state, I know, but maybe they'd do an in-person interview and let you work remotely after). They invest a ton in their staff and from a customer perspective, they've been one of the best call centers I've interacted with.

Beyond lost

On Jan 28, 2022, I sent in an application for a job that claimed "Immediate Hire" The job posting itself was from Nov 2021 by the company and is still posted today. After waiting 2 weeks, I heard nothing and started to do weekly flow up, and have been up to this last week. I have not heard back from them or even a sign that they ever got the application. I do wonder if these jobs that say "Immediate Hire" are a lie. Not sure what to do about this job.

Before I went and applied for that job, I tried to reliable for a job I had that shut down to do Covid; after about 2 months I got a note back saying there were not going with me even though I had 9 years with the company and worked in almost every department. I found out later that the job went to someone that has never worked for the company and was a woman of color. I know this company but their cards first into diversity and inclusion and minority first before skills and experience. I concluded since I was not a woman of color with a disability, I got cast aside from the job.

It seems to me today that you are more likely to get a job if you are a woman, a gender-neutral person. Am I wrong? I fully believe that jobs are know all about diversity and inclusion and minority before skills and experience? I'm I wrong?

Another job dropped in on me in the strangest way I have ever seen. by text message. Saying, "I'm Hiring, please send resumes and cover letters to the email" When asked for the details on the job, there was no response, and I could not find any job posting about the job anywhere on the company's websites. It's for a creative job, and I find the text the most creative way of a job posting ever.

I have been sadly out of work since June 2020 when the place I worked for shut down due to covid. I got unemployment as I keep looking for work, and since you have to be working to collect unemployment. I don't understand why I never hear back from people that are hiring that they got the app or thanks for applying, but we are going with someone else. I feel like I keep wasting time.

I keep reading stories about people applying for 100's jobs and maybe getting one interview and not getting the job. It is so true that all jobs are pin whole, and that person that is hiring, in fact, already knows who there going to hire and waiting for that one person to apply. seems that way to me.

I even tried to get help through my state job help twice and never heard back from them after doing two long interviews with what I was looking for.

What the hell is going on in the world? I am still looking for a full-time gig. #jobsearch #interview #application #resume #coronavirus #workfromhome #unemployment #careerdiscovery #hiringevents #stressful #disability #advice
