A good idea for you is to look into apprenticeships. They let you learn a trade and get paid while you do it, so you don't need to take out loans for school or whatever. Has anyone been wondering why they don't get interviews, calls, even E-mails? I know when I first started I wondered why myself. I have finally came to a conclusion on why. Employers first put up a job request filling out all their needs and within a week they receive 7,000-35,000 applications. Imagine you were the employer having to look at 35,000 resumes, or applications daunting is the word. So employers have made ways to cut these applications down. The first way they do so is through their own qualifications. Potential employees whose resumes and applications do not exactly meet their goals are the first to go. This will generally cut the applicants down to 2,000 - 5,000. Next, weird as it may seem spelling. This means if you don't spell correctly, or use improper grammar you're next off the list. Just these two things can usually cut the list down by 75-80%!!!

Now the employer has to dig through roughly 500-1000 applicants calling and making arrangements for an interview. Which if you are at the bottom of that list by the time you get the appointment they probably have the position filled.

So how does one get a job? Patience. In a lot of cases just opening a phone book and calling places that are in there can land a job. Also, going to places owners and managers would hang out might work. Networking with friends and families can land a job. Now about those college students caught with the degree and education but no real experience.

The best way to start experience is through apprenticeship! Apprenticeship is specifically designed to teach you on-the-job skills you will need to further your career. You can usually find an apprenticeship program open through your local government website, or you can do a search at https://www.dol.gov/featured/apprenticeship Depending on the timing you may find one TODAY!☺
