Hi everyone,
Like many of you, I’ve been in the job market after being laid off a little over two months ago.
One thing I noticed pretty quickly was that I was spending a lot of time applying for jobs without really knowing how competitive I was for the role. Every AI tool I tried seemed to tell me I was a “great match,” even when I clearly wasn’t. That wasn’t helpful—it just created false confidence.
So I decided to build something for myself.
Over the past month, I’ve been building ApplyIQ, an AI-powered job search assistant that acts as a command center for the entire application process. The goal isn’t to encourage you to apply for more jobs—it’s to help you apply for the right jobs.
Some of the things it does today:
• Analyzes your resume against a job description and gives you an honest assessment of your fit. I intentionally tuned the AI to be slightly conservative because I’d rather tell someone they’re a 6.5/10 than incorrectly tell them they’re a 9.5.
• Generates tailored resumes and cover letters based on your real experience—without inventing skills or exaggerating your background. Everything is editable and can be refined through feedback.
• Creates interview preparation tailored to the specific role, including likely interview questions and a hiring manager’s perspective on your resume.
• Tracks your applications in one place so you always know where you stand.
• Lets you search for jobs directly within the platform, while also allowing you to analyze any job you find elsewhere simply by pasting in the job description.
I originally built this for myself, but I thought it might help others who are navigating the same challenges.

Outsourced Staffing for nurses
Has anyone else been getting the overseas nursing staffing agencies calling representing big companies for Remote Case Management type positions with contract nurse positions here in the US? I deal with these people all the time all from different agencies, and I STILL don't have a job, contract or otherwise. Mostly, I can't understand what they are saying, but I try to get the gist of it. They will usually tell me they have my resume and we just needed to come to an agreement on pay & benefits, once I do this, they tell me that their own boss will call me to verify everything we talked about & verified pay rate, then I'm supposed to wait for them to get back with me if the company chose me to advance to the next step. That is as far as I have ever gotten, Idk what to do about this, I need a job, but these people are not helping me, I'm grateful for the unemployment pay but it is just not enough, I am behind on everything. I just need a job and I don't have time to go back & forth playing games, UI only lasts a year, and I never even wanted to be on it this long, much less a year! Looking for Remote Case Management, I'm in Texas with a compact license if anyone has any suggestions, besides the obvious, lol Brenna, RN, BSN PS- FYI, I have been doing remote and even hybrid nursing for the past 10 years due to chronic pain to my back, neck, knees, hips, so this is where I'm at in my 30 plus year nursing career, no hands on nursing and it's great when I am employed. #jobsearch #workfromhome #advice #HELP...please

Nope. All these jobs they send me is bullshit. I've applied and as soon as I apply I get scam calls 20 times a day to the point wjere its now harrassment!! The calls dont stop until 8 PM sometimes. I wish i knew who ran this job board so i can file a complaint!! This job board is useless and will be unsubscribing!!
