MAKE YOUR MOVE DOWN COURT! [IBYC]

Listen carefully, this could change your life!

When you're searching for a new job everyone may not be on your team, respectfully, others have their own agenda. (See illustration below.)

My friends, nonetheless, you still have to drive forward with extra momentum and focus on winning in the game of life.

What is your "Y" factor for winning?

Remember, your "Y" factor and that you have greatness within you. So, "make your move down court" and win the game!

I Believe You Can!

Remote work

I have applied at many remote jobs and nothing. There is one in particular, BCD Travel, that has the same positions continously available yet when I apply I get rejected. I have even notified I have extensive experience for the positions I'm applying for. I'm not understanding what I may be doing wrong. #jobsearch #workfromhome #advice

Michaels Interview/Application Question

Hello, I applied online through the Michaels Careers website over the weekend for a Service Team Member position. The job posting had only been up for about a day when I applied.

It's been about 3 business days, and I was wondering how long it usually takes Michaels to respond. Do they normally call, email, or both? Do they send rejection emails, or is it common not to hear back?

Would it be okay to call the store and say something like:

"Hello, this is (my name). I submitted an application a few days ago and was wondering if there have been any updates on my application."

I also have a question about the education section. The application had me list my high school and college separately, which I did. However, for the education level dropdown, I selected High School (HS) for both because I graduated high school but am still attending college and have not earned a degree yet. There wasn't an option for "currently attending college" or "degree in progress," and I didn't want to claim a degree I haven't earned.

Could that hurt my chances, or was that the correct thing to do given the options available?

Also, for anyone who has interviewed at Michaels, what kinds of questions do they usually ask?

This would be my first job, so I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect. Thanks! #application #interview #advice #jobsearch #education

The Freaking Game Is Not Over. [IBYC]

Listen carefully so you can win in years to come!

First, "freaking" is not a curse word it's a word of contingent to get you off your butt to win the game of life.

Second, you don't have to give-up based on what other people's opinions about you. Stop allowing others to call the shots in your game.

Third, you simply take what they say with a grain of salt, and remember, you have greatness within you.

Fourth, stay on the court of life and play your game not the moves of others.

The freaking game is not over until you take your best shot now. When you do, simply walk away with a smile because you're on your way to a win.

It depends on your training in school, your life experience and what other jobs you may have had along the way. If you ever worked as a nurses aid or an LPN in the same setting where you are seeking employment as an RN, your transition to hospital nursing may be easier. It may also vary from unit to unit and hospital to hospital. Large, inner city hospitals affiliated with medical and nursing schools are very different from small rural hospitals. That is the Wonderful World of Nursing! You have so many opportunities! Every five years or so, you can transfer to a different area and learn something new if you like, or you can stay in the same area for forty years if you choose to do so! Best wishes!

Cut The Crap Out Your Life. [IBYC]

Listen carefully as if your livelihood depends on it. Because in a true sense, it really does.

Silently, you have greatness in you, all you have to do is what will really counts.

When you want to win for the sake of self, family and friends you have to "cut the crap out your life." I mean those things that hurts your progress.

Machine Operator jobs

As a machine operator, first be honest on what type of machining have you trained or ran? CNC, mazac, kataco, or break press, stomp machine. That is the start of an operator, then let them no you have a great work ethic which includes, time management, teamwork makes the dream work, and attention to detail. Be honest the is the key to success. You don't want to say I ran a break press if clearly you have not because most companies will put you straight to the test and give you a job change setup to see what you can do. #jobsearch #advice #motivation #interview #application
