Culture vs Salary
So many companies ignore the culture in the workspace and think because we pay enough people will stay. Intrinsic motivation will always beat extrinsic in the long run. #culture #motivation #salary #advice #jobsearch

What is the most important thing you look for in a company?

Job performance Vs. workers' compensation? Don't believe in false promises that will never come.
The discourse of the Human Resources department is similar to that expressed from a religious pulpit, your salary should not be seen as if it were a cult or a religious faith. Many motivators tell you to have faith, but Hebrews 11.1 says, and I quote: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." I close the quote. The salary does not come from faith, many business performances are very tight and have no room to increase compensation, if they tell you to strive for better pay, the reality is that your position is adjusted to the parameters of corporate performance and if you get $20.00 per hour, no matter how hard you try you won't get $30.00 the economy doesn't work this way. If you are paid $20.00 an hour, and you have been in the position for 10 years and a rookie is offered $30.00 an hour, it is not that he is more valuable than you, it is that the Human Resources department has made it impossible to hire for $20.00 an hour and offers $30.00 to fill some hard-to-recruit positions. Do not have faith in the promise of a man, apply for another job in a similar position and there will be desperate employers who will give you $30.00 an hour, faith is only for the creator, for God it is not to be used in the labor market. #jobsearch #advice #interview #hr #salary #wordsofadvice

How much should I ask for?
I now left an interview and I believe it went well. The person who interviewed me said he would forward my information to the compensation team. He asked how much was I getting paid at my last job, I told him what my salary was and he replied with, “I suggest you go higher when asked by the compensation team”. Does that mean I might be hired and how much higher should I go? My last job I had a salary of 62k. Any suggestions on how much higher I should say where it may not prevent me from getting the job? #interview #salary
