What’s a story from your work life that still makes you laugh—or cry?

My boss made me cry. He demanded I write a project proposal but I had no experience with that. Later he apologized and told me I was a good writer.

What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve learned about yourself while job searching?

That I have to choose the job that fits me. That I was just a number to my last employer.

I know that the jobs I apply for I would meet or exceed expectations

What do you tell yourself on tough days when rejection emails keep coming in?

They don't know what they've missed out on.

When faced with a string of rejection emails, it's natural to feel discouraged. Acknowledge your feelings, but remind yourself that rejection is a common part of the job search process and doesn't reflect your worth or qualifications. Focus on the learning opportunities, and stay motivated by visualizing your future success.

How do you showcase soft skills like communication or leadership on your resume?

Let them know what you excell at and what your interests are associated with your skills to get you the job n be honest

Keeping a positive mindset and not letting the negative thoughts affect my mental state of mind or the way that I think about things. I k ow that I’m a hard worker and I’m also educated with a lot of work history so I know that things will work out accordingly for me as I know how to work with the business side of the company and how well I can provide the best service for the business as a part of the team.

When you think of your dream job, what kind of culture does it have?

I would create a culture of inclusivity, confidence and comraderie. If you had the needed skills as a base to train from & were eager to be a part of a team approach with the desire to be a builder rather than a maintainer or departer, your value would be recognized & your contributions rewarded. Comprehensive training is of paramount importance in my experience in management & the foundation for a cohesive team & healthy work environment. The practice of peer coaching help builds trust & confidence in team members. I would work diligently to provide safety & inclusion & acknowledge employee feedback & ideas. I would promote a healthy work/ life balance because that fosters a strong work ethic & a personal sense of pride in one's performance because good mental & physical health promotes active participation. There's so much more than can be done but that's my contribution.

Yes. The prestige of the CEO started taking priority over providing a safe working environment for employees. There was a lot of integrity demanded of employees, but in the end, none extended to them by the executive team.

What’s one skill you’ve learned recently that helped in your job search or current role?

As much as you wanna push you, gotta hold back when you have new guys till you find out their abilities and then teach them the correct way to do things and then their speed will come

Can’t stress over all the small things not everything’s gonna go perfect just keep pushing forward and do your best in a few teach young guys that are just learning to have respect for the equipment and tools that they use. You always have nice stuff, but you have to lead by example take care of your tools and equipment by example.
Building repore with customers and coworkers. Being reliable and on time. Dressing appropriately for the job to be done. Courteousy always makes a workday much more pleasant.
