I recently started a part-time job and during my interview I explained that I exclusively breast-feed. I asked if there would be a place that I could come and the manager told me yes but wasn’t specific on the location. When I started that Monday since I am a part timer I only have one 15 minute break. What’s the best time for my break I asked to be shown where I could pump at and the trainer took me to a public bathroom. I asked can I have some thing that was more private because I need it to pump. I was then taken to another bathroom that had a lock on the door. No accommodations were made for me even though I gave the hiring manager a heads up. I’m not asking to be treated like royalty however when I’m pumping the milk for my baby I have no choice but to stand up or sit on the toilet but my cords aren’t long enough and I’m limited on the amount of time I have which is now causing my flow to decrease. I brought it to their attention but it doesn’t seem like anything is going to change. Am I asking for too much? #advice #management #jobsearch #interview

The slave mentality is instilled by our parents and relatives, it is the one that puts the employer in a higher place than the employee, where everything you do is done as an "inferior being" that does not deserve your job, an "inferior being" if rights as a citizen. A kind of being who begs for work, an "inferior being" who is at the mercy of his employer. That he wants to work a lifetime with an employer to be loyal blindly and if he looks for a new job, he is ungrateful and therefore the family categorizes him as an unstable being since his goal is not to serve his master for decades. It's a generationally sick mentality. You must move to a liberating mindset, look at your qualities, must analyze with SWOT Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Within the opportunities must be the profile with the characteristics of the employer or desired clients. Always use your time to sell it to the highest bidder, loyalty is for the best pay and the employer that treats you the best. #jobsearch #interview #advice #management #wordsofadvice

After 2months while working, they’ve brought in MariaDB , MySQL and oracle for me to be working on. I’ve spoken to the manager and still waiting for response. I had been the business administrator for our Catholic Church, for 28 years, I basically handled everything from finances, payroll, website, etc. Last April my Dr. put me on medical leave due to health issues, I was returning in June but the Friday before, I get an email from the priest saying my position had been eliminated. I was in shock, this priest had only been at our church a few months when he did this. About 2 months later they get someone in their to replace me but changed the title to Office Manager. Again being an at will State (SC)and me an hourly employee, I was told there was nothing I could do. This needs to be changed I was a hard worker, during COVID I worked 24/7 keeping our parishioners informed and also livestreaming the Mass. I was always taught to be a hard worker and it would pay off in the end, well that is a lie. The catholic church is nothing but politics and money, I have lost all faith in the catholic church really most organized religion because they have lost focus and their priorities are not in the right place. I am working on a book "Secrets of working for the Catholic Church" I worked for a total of 14 priest and only 2 were what I would consider Priest. The rest are just running from something and allowing the church to protect them. #termination #management # wrongful termination

I worked there a few months and it was the worst job I ever had. Upper management was a joke and didn’t care about patients at all. They literally gave us a number that didn’t work to give out to our patients that wanted to speak to corporate. When upper management was in office and a patient wanted to speak to them…she refused. Saying we could handle it ourselves or telling us to give them “corporates” number. Favoritism was real in that place. We had a certain mark we had to hit and because our doctor was crap we almost never made it. We were warned plenty of times BUT they never followed through with moving her. The staff was mostly inexperienced and no one helped them learn. I just couldn’t take it anymore. I left after about 6 months. #stressful #management #dental #dentaloffice #jobsearch
