I felt proud to work for #Department of Human Services when...

I was able to have an effect on so many people who were in need. One particular time a lady came in and she and her husband had divorced. She needed help because she was very I'll and she couldn't work. Her husband had never approved of her getting help with her medical bills. I told her that's what I was there for and if she would trust me we could do that. She had no money but she had applied for social security. Her concerns were many but I was able to help her immediately with food benefits. Not long after that she was approved for her social security. I watched her case and approved her medicaid. She really appreciated the help. She wrote the governor a letter about me!

I felt proud to work for #Artkraft sign co when...

I loved working for art Kraft signs. I had a lot of responsibility’s and felt challenged during my whole time employed with them. But there were a lot of benefits working for the company and they made it worth while to be part of the company

What I loved about working at #Walmart was

I was the receiver at #Walmart and I absolutely loved my job. Being responsible for having merchandise coming and going can be tough. But you become familiar with all that you’re responsible for, which makes it easier.

What made me stay at #Hawaiian Rock Products was

The fact that I was able to learn about all the types of projects and process we do in each department was very informative and interesting. I loved being able to experience and try it out with my own hands with people who have had knowledge prior to mine. So they made it an easy step by step as to was I was doing and how's it change from time to time

You won't believe what this customer did!

There are times when you hear a story and your faith in humanity is restored. Here's one that has restored my faith today, on how two people, an employee and a customer took care of each other' with one small good deed turned into a bigger one.

Have you ever done something for a customer that in return they did something amazing for you?

Disneyland is reopening and workers are EXCITED!!

It’s been more than a year since the Disneyland resort’s three hotels and two theme parks closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Shevlin can think of little else but resuming her old job at the Anaheim resort.

Her yearning is not just about the steady paycheck. “What I miss the most is the human contact,” said the 32-year Disneyland veteran, who lives alone with her cat. “I’m ready to put on my uniform.”

With Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park set to open Friday, Disney employees who have been rehired and those who are waiting to return to the House of Mouse say they’re eager to reunite with co-workers and will be relieved to be added back to the Disney payroll.

“My work is what always keeps me going,” said Saturnino Beltran, a 22-year Disneyland veteran, who recently returned to his job at the Disneyland Central Bakery, where the resort’s baked goods are made.

“I do think it is now safe for workers to return to the parks,” said Austin Lynch, a union organizer at Unite Here Local 11, which represents hotel and food service workers at the resort.

That’s not how Lynch and many Disney workers felt last June when Disney announced plans to reopen amid a rise in coronavirus cases.

California kept the parks closed until this spring.

Many returning workers say they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and those who have already started to work at the parks say the staffers are taking the safety rules seriously.

More workers will be hired once state health guidelines allow the parks to increase attendance, Disney representatives say.

Would you be ready to go back to OR work at a large theme park?
