If you have no formal employment or are young and haven't had a real job, consider your volunteer and learning experiences that helped you learn how to be punctual, dependable and responsible. Volunteer experiences contribute many transferable skills like leadership, organization, learning to work well with others (being a team player is still a highly desirable and valuable skill). You should be able to articulate how you worked on projects and how rewarding those experiences were. Think and talk about what you learned. Did you lead a team? Did you work on fundraising? Did you engage in phone-banking for a charitable organization? Don't underestimate your work. Use it! These invaluable traits and skills are also highly valued and needed in the workplace......

So Basically in a nut shell, I've been out of the job situation with the actual public since 1999. I quit school, got a full time job and got married, had 5 kids, became disabled due to back problems and chronic migraine. The SS office said because I didn't work an entire 5 years before that I don't qualify for anything so because I'm now remarried I'm my new husband's problem and they looked right at me and said I would get fired due to my headaches but sorry your screwed. Nothing in this world I dislike more than people saying I can't do something. I decided to freelance because I want to do something. I'm having a bad go so I decided to get my GED while I do all this. I can do remote work but although I've got skills it's still hard to find anything. Is there anywhere that will hire a Newbie at entry level for a remote job? I'd like something until someone is willing to want a service I provide. #Jobhunting #Remote # Part-time #fulltime #weekends #jobskills #online # project # phone jobs

Workin the drive-thru at Sonic was my favorite. I got put on it about once a week, and it was always a good shift. Most people hated it because there was a much smaller chance you'd get any tip money. I like to organize things and the crazy busy pace made me feel good I was accomplishing something. Probably why all my bosses since working there have noticed and told me how organized I am. For me, it was an enjoyable job and I didn't mind it.
