Gig Work

Just returned from the Dominican Republic and it became quite obvious quickly that Uber has some work to do on the service offered there. Drivers do not accept the quoted price on the App and will refuse to come if you do not accept the price they quote you. Drivers do not want to accept Credit Card payments and accept cash only. Drivers also force you to cancel out trips so they can renegotiate trips. Uber needs to get the mess sorted out so tourists do not get caught in the middle when using Uber in the DR. Lastly Uber cannot pretend no knowledge as Social Media is filled with persons posting about the issue they encounter when vacationing in the DR.

Self Care

So many of us work more than one side Gig work. I personally work 5 side Gigs 🙂 I love all of my side Gigs. I created my own schedule. However, I curb out time to take care of myself mentally and physically. I have a fitness routine scheduled. I take one day out of the week to focus on me only, that may be doing nothing 🤣.

I find gratification in accomplishing more than less, so I prefer to take on a little more. It's better than handling only one issue at a time. I've learned to batch tasks so that I'm focusing on similar activities at the same time. That way, I don't lose time and focus when I switch tasks.
