Hair Follicle Testing
Did you know hair testing is not a DOT testing requirment. But if failed CAN and MAY be reported on your DAC report as a failed test, depending on a trucking companys policy. Double standard.
For example when i first started my trucking career. I was going to go with a company called USXpress. I thought long and hard because they did hair follicle as part of there testing with the urine. Even though its not DOT requirement, still if failed can be reported on DAC. I heard so many stories about false positive when taking this test.
Im not a fan of this type testing, how about you? # #jobsearch #advice #management #trucking

Frightening Moment Behind the Wheel
Hey we all have experienced that uh-oh moment when driving either accident or we know we shouldn't have tried. Id like to here those first time for everything events. #advice #wordsofadvice #motivation #trucking

Manual or Automatic SEMI-TRUCK????Which is better? Has the advantage?
Update:Please chime in! Please share your thoughts! #trucking #truckdrivers #advice #driving

I've heard drivers say that they feel out of their element after going from a manual to an automatic, & vice versa, each does have it's pros, & cons, to each their own as they say

FYI:So did you know your Pre-trip and Air Brake(in-cab inspection) test are 2 parts separate you must pass in order to advance to your skills test, then road test when acquiring your CDL's?
I have a helpful tool on Youtube. Its what I used. Search Mr. B's Trucking Institute. There you can study Pre-Trip Sections 1-3 and also In-Cab Inspections(air-brakes). #truckdriver #trucking #cdl

FYI: How can I afford school, it cost so much?
Have you looked into your local Workforce in your county. The program is called WIOA( Workforce initiative and Opportunity Act). This program is designed to help career seekers access employment, education and training services to succeed in the labor market. This training is free and even will pick up the cost of the CDL. I will say there are some stipulations to qualify for the program. 1:you must be a resident of that state. 2: not currently hold a Class A CDL. 3: be laid off from current employer or income must not exceed program limits. #jobsearch #trucking #truckdriver

As a Class A driver, would you rather drive overnight vs daytime?
Which one you think would have a better advantage? #trucking #truckdriver

Recent Truckstop Trucking Survey: how do you feel about the results?
Would you agree with these survey results? Are these similar trends you're seeing with your job as well?
83% of U.S. truck drivers say they experience daily challenges with recent increases in fuel prices, and almost three quarters (74%) say they are concerned about the pressure to work longer hours due to the driver shortage. 67% of U.S. truck drivers surveyed think pay levels are high enough to attract new drivers and keep veteran carriers from leaving, and just over 61% of those surveyed feel they are benefiting positively from the fluctuating spot market rates. 68% of those surveyed say they find it challenging to keep up with insurance-related matters (i.e., keeping insurance up to date) and changing industry regulations.
Do they have the technology to have both auto, & manual where you can switch over where it would be driver friendly to adapt to what ever situation arises, if this type of technology doesn't exist already? Just a thought, especially with today's technology, God bless people
