Believe in Yourself
Believing in your own abilities is the highest form of self-confidence.
Let’s adopt the mindset of these gorgeous birds.
Their trust and confidence is not on the branch but in themselves and their ability to fly should the branch break.

Nothing builds self-confidence more than communicating assertively:
✔️ saying no to inconvenient or unreasonable requests ✔️ asking questions in meetings ✔️ paying compliments ✔️ accepting compliments gracefully ✔️ speaking up when treated unfairly ✔️ expressing ideas, opinions, suggestions publicly ✔️ never kicking yourself for what you wished you would have said

Do jobs at UnitedHealth Group pay well?

I am a customer Service representative and you need me? Part time?

✨ DO YOU PICK UP EXTRA SHIFTS FOR YOUR COWORKERS?? ✨
At a lot of jobs, but especially at Restaurant Jobs, there are always a few staff members who call off or ask to trade shifts very, very often. Sometimes even skipping the part where they call and just simply not showing up at all. This is called a “No Call/No Show”. 😱 😰 🥶
In those situations 🧑💼 Managers usually turn to their 🦹♀️ A Team 🦸🏻♀️of reliable staff to pick up the shifts, or work harder to make up for the loss, and shortstaffing. 💞✨
The main reasons someone would pick up an extra shift are; needing the money or extra hours, wanting to help a friend at work by covering, or wanting to support a manager you like a lot!! 💫 🌟
It feels good to step in when necessary, but often picking up these bonus shifts can cause a strain on your own schedule as well. 💕
Do you mind covering for your coworkers by picking up shifts? Do you often trade shifts you are assigned for different ones? Are you in a situation where your schedule is flexible enough or you need the extra cash?? 💸 😮💨 😵💫

Yes no problem at all more hours for me and don't jump to conclusions that person may not have a baby sitte or emergency

Just before the shift supervisor would declare overtime, the bathroom stalls would fill up! Being a Male Supervisor, us guys always got caught looking up and seeing him, saying 2 hours mandatory! We worked for a newspaper, south side Chicago.

Besides a paycheck, what kept you coming back to work at Omni Hotels every day?

I need a job

Closer to home

Why is it harder now?
Why do jobs require so much more from workers than 50 years ago? Some 60 years ago Boomers could get a good juicy job fresh out of high school where they were thought everything on the job and could collect experience.
Millenials and Zoomers nowadays in many cases need a degree for the same job Boomers could get fresh out of HS - or even as HS dropouts - while getting payed less. Millenials need to invest these extra 4 or 5 or 6 years to get degrees for jobs previous generations could do fresh out of HS. Its unfair and its nonsensical.

What is the team structure at Pods like?

Do jobs at Holiday Inn pay well?

I was hired on as the night auditor and got 11/hr at the location I was at. The front desk position honestly varies, I knew people who were getting 8/hr up to 10/hr but I was one of the higher paying positions. Housekeeping never got more than 9/hr minus the housekeeping manager.
From what I've seen on most listings for hotel staff you're more than likely not going to get more than 9/hr unless you get a higher up position or are over qualified for the job. Most hotel chains in my area are all hard set on capping starting pay out at 9/hr though (Pittsburgh area).
Good luck on your job hunt!
