I’ve been unemployed since mid April but starting new job 11/1. Georgia DOL had not paid me my unemployment for mid April thru mid June. After numerous emails and phone calls, I was finally able to secure the $$ today. Advice - be persistent - phone calls, emails, schedule appts with case workers, contact your local state congressman, pray!

I was able to find a great job within a few weeks! Always dress and act the part! Interviewers like to see a person who is in that mindset already, and who is prepared to step into their available role asap! Don't chew gum! I can not tell you how many qualified applicants I've passed up, simply because they were smacking gum in my face during an interview! Always speak clearly and make good eye contact. :)
