For those of you who have access to a vehicle and insurance that supports Ride Share, try Lyft. I went out my first night and made 63.00 early this morning my friend needed a Lyft ride to the airport and i made another 27. Lyft does take a partial commission, but its minimal at best, its like 25%. Lyft offers freedom of flexibility, work when you want to, and they offer express pay in case you need money right away and dont want to wait for payday (the fee is like $0.50, you do have to have more than 5.00 in your Lyft account to withdraw)
I love it, my fiance has been driving longer than me and he already made enough to cover our bills in just a couple of days. My favorite part is the fact that I get to keep 100% of my tips, as Lyft only takes its commission from the fare cost. At the end of literally 4 hours of actual drive time I made 90 and that was on my first time out.
This isn't a replacement for a regular job, but guys let me tell you it does set my mind at ease that I have something coming in to handle my smaller bills and the better part is that when I get my new job I can work this around that schedule, hell I can even get a part time job and work the schedules out and if I dont feel like driving, no problem there isn't a boss to answer to...except myself.
Like many I was really skeptical about it and reading some of the negative stories and reviews of Lyft, most of them are unfounded at best. However I will warn you it is what you put into it. We are private contractors, and it is commission based, but Lyft has a better community and you get to rate the passengers. I would love to tell you more, but....well see for yourself, and if nothing else its a great way to make extra Christmas Cash for the holidays that are coming up. Just give it a try. Good luck! I hope it helps.

Ultimatum " job or family"
I just wanted to throw this out to see if this sounds to all of you as it did to me. I had work for this company for a little over a year my anniversary was july 5th, i was out sick the week of the 4th due to getting lime disease from a tic bite. I told my work gave them all the proper documents/doctors notes ect. ect. They were pretty understanding said get to feeling better take care of yourself. Then on the 18th my father whos 72 had a massive heart attack but he was stable by the time i had to go to work, so i went into work told my supervisor what was going on and that i might need to take off if anything changes. Then he said to me " you can take off if you think it's necessary but it will cost you your job".... i was dumbfounded i didnt even know how to react. I just said something like "oh ok" with this shocked look on my face as if i was waiting for someone to say "Gotcha! " but no he was dead serious. I ended up quitting within 30 mins. After that. What do you guys think am i in the wrong ?

Why am i still jobless, why why why?? ........PLEASE HELP #jobsearch #career #interview #employment
11 months ago i posted my concern on Jobcase seeking advice from fellow jobcasers & mentors about my frustration of not finding a proper job in New York City. Though i got some amazing responses from few of the mentors what i should be doing to bring more weightage to my resume & skills. Post the conversation i made up my mind that i wouldn't give up on my dreams easily.
I ensured that i would work doubly hard & will reach my goals in life. I started learning new skills, started writing blogs, doing pro-bono work, have been active on social media & getting like minded followers hoping that this would fetch me a better job.
Despite of putting all my efforts...i still feel i'm unable to get an interview call. Being from a marketing domain my core skills have always been into branding, communication, social media etc.. what is it that i'm falling short of? where am i lacking behind?
My inbox is flooded is with direct marketing interview calls from companies, why i'm unable to find a right kind of job. I'm not demanding too much right now all i want is an entry level position in Social media marketing space or anything that matches my profile.
KINDLY SUGGEST

Agency Help
How do employment agencies work? Will they match me with the best jobs available that match my skills and career goals or are they more focused on finding bodies to fill company needs? I’m looking for a career change from manual labor and warehouse jobs to anything in an office support capacity. I’ve been taking some online classes in Microsoft office to improve my computer skills so I think I can pass any evaluations if I’m tested. I updated my resume and found some job postings at a couple of local employment agencies that look interesting. Most of it is temp work but I figure I can start there and build some experience. Is there anything I need to be aware of before contacting them for an appointment?
