The #1 way I prepare for interviews

The way I prepare fore interviews is to develop a "story bank." These examples should be in your resume, and in the interview be prepared to elaborate...

Interviews will often have "tell me about a time when ___ " type questions. Write out beforehand a few scenarios that could potentially fit those types of questions. And if you don't have an experience that fits their question, it's totally acceptable to say something like, "While I don't have an example of an experience like that, if I did, I would do [x,y,x]."

So when one of these questions comes out, just pull out a story from the bank - it's even possible to tell a story from the bank if it's not related to the question being asked.

Is it bad if I don't respond to calls from my boss on my days off?

I just got a call from her and did not respond. Now I'm not so sure if I did the right thing...

I don't respond to calls or emails on my days off. The way I see it they're not paying me for that time so I'm off the clock.

No matter your age...if you are treating people with kindness& respect then your doing a good job. If you are unhappy or if it's time to retire then either quit or retire. Otherwise if you have wrinkles around your eyes you have earned by smiling even if you have a mask on! Just do your best no matter the age! Otherwise take it to a higher boss& give them an Ear full! Nobody has time for that!

Add Your Resume Title Here

Working in a place surrounded by 2 individuals n the rest very young, I guess they felt intimidated once they saw my skills. Especially when you're working on a place that the owners or boss are not there to see what's going on.

Not hired due to my age

I sent my resume to an electrical contractor in my area. They told me they were considering another candidate. I asked them why. They told me they loved my resume and experience. But I was over qualified and my age was over the range they were looking for. It’s an electrical estimator position. How can I be to old. Isn’t it illegal to tell a job candidate there to old? Is this a case for EEOC?

Stay positive in your search

Truth: find some kind of employment even when you may not like it or the pay. It is positive to be employed, therefore other positive things occur once you get that job. For one you will have funds to eat, stay clean and gas to travel to your next search. My search has been positive in the face of rejection. Know your value. You are needed. You have something to offer. If not today, tomorrow, but You will shine.😊☀️
