What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received—and do you still follow it?

Treat people like you would like to be treated. It is nice to be important, but more important to be nice! Under promise and over deliver. Keep your word.
Yes, I follow this.

Yes

It cost nothing to be decent to a customer make sure your customers are happy and satisfied if they have any issues or any problems try to figure it out and work it out with them

Go to work everyday in a good mood leave a problems at home and base your time and your effort on customers and their satisfaction

The customer is the reason you got a paycheck in your pocket... They aint always right, but best to jst let them have their moment. Why waste more time arguing when you can come to a resolution and get them on their way. I dnt remember how my first manager worded this to me, but hearing this on my first day at my first job im training, it became more clear to me as i advanced on to other career opportunities. 🤷🏼♀️

Depends on the trade, pay attention work hard and never feel entitled to anything and and always work to do your job better than the next guy ( That's not my Job) should never be a part of your vocabulary go the extra mile and don't sit around waiting for someone to tell you to do the next step if you know what it is ,be the first to show up and the last to leave and alway show respect The boss will notice I did it in 5 years. Good luck 👍

Be. On time. Don't b late arrival.

That's something I can do without judgement

Pay attention, listen, ask questions for anything you don’t understand
Just show up every day and do your best.
