To all the felons out there who are feeling discouraged and disheartened by the challenges of finding a job, please don’t give up.

Although the road may seem daunting and filled with obstacles, it's crucial to remember that setbacks are not synonymous with failure. Instead, view them as stepping stones towards a brighter future.

Our past does not define our entire story; it is merely a chapter in our lives. Embrace the power of resilience and perseverance, for they are the qualities that will carry us forward.

Seek out organizations and programs dedicated to assisting individuals with criminal backgrounds in their job search.

Enhance your skills, pursue education, and utilize every opportunity to showcase your potential.

Remember, everyone deserves a second chance, and with determination and a positive mindset, we can overcome the odds.

Stay strong, believe in yourself, and keep striving for success because your journey is far from over.

Something I have always wondered about is how one-sided the criminal justice system is. What I mean by this is if we are accused of wrongdoing and standing before the judge, all of our mistakes are aired freely, making it seem that we have nothing but bad in our lives. We are defined by our mistakes.

What if there were also courts for the good that we have done? Every now and then we are summoned to the courthouse for praise, recognition and commended for our good deeds.

It’s not that I believe we should be rewarded for doing the right thing, but what if we were? I just wonder if that would be a deterrent to crime?…

This is an A to Z list of known felon friendly employers. Check out the list, research the companies that match your skills and are of interest to you and let us know what you found out. Good Luck and fingers crossed. 🤞**

🔎 Craigslist is Still a Thing?! 🕵️

I find myself giving this advice often, so I decided I'd make a post about it. There are tons of great tools out there for your job search, from Jobcase's very own job board to Indeed, Monster, and LinkedIn. Not to mention various other second-chance specific sites and organizations.

However, one of the oldest tools that many tend to forget is Craigslist. The benefit of Craigslist is that you are in direct contact with the employer. Whereas other sites may funnel your application through 3rd parties, or up a long chain of command at a large company, Craigslist will often show you smaller businesses which are likely to get in contact sooner. Some of the best jobs I've ever had were found on Craigslist, and they tended to be more lenient when it came to second chance hires.

@nooria parsa, if you can complete the bio in your profile it would give members a better idea where to focus our efforts in assisting you. For example, highlighting your work skills and experience would ensure that matching job recommendations could be provided for you to follow up on.

You might consider checking with some local temp agencies as those are good resources and temporary job roles often turn into full-time permanent positions
