Why do some people know many individuals who have been to prison while others know none? Who ends up in our prisons, and what does justice look like for them?
Sara Hyde, a prominent left-wing thinker on women and the criminal justice system, has worked in prisons for six years and now helps young women leaving custody. She sits on a Ministry of Justice board that appoints magistrates and contributes to policy discussions. Previously, she had a career in theatre and still occasionally writes and performs with Wonder Arts.

Because it's targeting certain people... It's no real mystery

I did 12 years in prison. Was a leader of a gang. I know about prison

I know some but I can't say I am friends with any. Ford
I had a construction window and door replacement company a franchise I bought The corporate franchise took my money then went bk I was over promised and the under delivered. I had 16 orders in a week and a half I went to order The manufacturing facility said all my orders I had to pay cash on order. I got 14 of the jobs finished the two I didn't sent me to prison the judge took two none violent low level felonies under the same cause number and maxed me on both and then instead of running the concurrent ran the wild so I got 3 years a piece got 6 years. That was over a decade ago at 55 years. Everything you hear about prison or see is true as far as gangs, drugs and violence. My level was raise because of a hold so I was sent to a level 2-3. I immediately became a dorm rep help the offenders get time cuts then I reopened the Chapel Library, got greeting cards, and they respected and trusted me. So they asked if I would facilitate a men's prayer meeting no guards just us. I got it done. When I was released I started a suit drive for men getting released and got them prepared for interviews by teaching a course from Dale Carnegie called Public Speaking and Human relations.
