I make sure to call and thank the interviewer. I tell them that I hope to hear from them soon.

Taking a few moments after an interview to acknowledge and thank the interviewer for their time is really beneficial. Everybody wants to feel respected and appreciated. A phrase or two expressing your gratitude provides them an idea of what it would be like to work with you. Nobody has ever been called too gracious.

Send a follow up to interview letter thanking them for their time

If they gave me an email, I send a thank you for interview letter.

I follow up within a week if no response to show interest level.
