Retired U.S. Marine who is tired of being Retired

I was a U.S. Marine for 22-years. I loved my job, but hated being separated from my family. Two times I served on a 1-year (12 consecutive months) deployment away from my family, and several TAD trips 120-days or less. I learned that my spouse is an incredible human being who remained rock solid during our periods of separation. 43 years later...knowing that she took our wedding vows seriously, helps me today to be a better husband and man.

All jobs have something to give to individuals. Experiences teach us something. We can learn how to interact properly or improperly just be watching and listening to great employees as well as mediocre ones.

Safety is a talking point but not a True priority in the plants with certain companies.

They talk the talk but don't walk the Walk and quickly retaliate when you question it or refuse to comply with their unsafe practices.

While a supervisor or an HR manager's opinion of you may affect your job, you still have to do the best you can to support your family.

I enjoy being a caregiver and am open to taking care of someone in my home. I have the room, experience and enjoy preparing well balanced meals.
