I worked at a restaurant once and a man was extremely intoxicated so we had to ask him to leave. We even offered to get him a cab home, free of charge.

Well, he didn't like that. About 10 minutes after he left the premises, he came storming back in with a large cup of gas station coffee and THREW IT in my managers face calling him every name under the sun...

Luckily, we caught the whole thing on our security cameras.

Craziness!! What's the most unbelievable thing that's happened while you were working?

Tie between the bomb threat where the boss made me go back in with the police to show them the lockers and at lunch one day when I was held at gunpoint in an armed bank robbery.

I had a coworker that would show up late quite often too, but their performance was absolutely over the top. That person gave 120% and always took care of their own duties. Very efficient with task management.

Unlike two others that were usually early or on time. These two were preoccupied with gossip and personal issues. The two on-time persons were behind on their task often, and the rest of us had to pick up their slack. So, I think it all depends on task management rather than clock-in time.

The worst day was when Bob had. A heart attack. Scared the baggeebas out of me . Bob treated me like a son . We gave him CPR until the ambulance arrived. He came too loading him in and he said just take care of things I'll be back. I wasn't sure how to handle things answering everyone's questions but all worked out . when Mrs. Kathy got back she looked at me and said " if it wasn't for you we couldn't do this " I walked out th we office set on the stairs and cried.

Hello, I've been working for a small manufacturing company, who at times has had to pay me late, and at times asked me not to claim all my hours worked. I allowed this and now it has become status quo. How do I remedy this problem gracefully? Could unemployment help? Im at a loss, I haven't been paid in a month, I can't pay my bills...but I have active projects that only I posses the codes to produce....

My boss is the owners mom where I work and she comes into the office part time and she pushes me around and talks very disrespectful to me she blames me for mistakes others make. She says things like " everything you do is wrong" "you mess up everything you tourch" insult after insult and I just have to sit there and take it from her. Its unacceptable. what is wrong with employers these days its impossible to find a job where you are treated like a valued employee.

I was hired as a carver, to replace the carver that left the company. My job:. To carve the logs that were going to be molded and used in gas and propane fireplace systems. I used ceramic blocks and ceramic cauking to produce realistic models, We also would incorporate actual logs , modifing them to fit our needs. I then voluntered to help out the mold shop I learned the molding process for ceramic logs, and refractory logs. Also making foam in place packaging molds and vacuum form panel molds as well as sculpting log sets. I also would make multipal hand carved sets of our prototype logs for trade shows. During my tenure, Monessen Hearth bought Martin Industries, and then Vermont Castings. In 2014 The business was purchased by HHT , Hearth and Home Technologies, to obtain our vent free technology and patents. HHT Closed one of the vermont castings plants down within a year of buying the businesses & had no intentions of keeping the Paris Ky plant open, and started laying off employees in 2015 , and offering to let employees move to other states to work for HHT. I had no interest in HHT as an employer.
